Last but not least, the December page of my calendar. I always end up taking the photo sometime in November (often staging it to look like a Christmas photo) so that I have time to work on the calendar and get it ordered before the holidays.
Previously, I've picked a basic color scheme I haven't done for December recently, then stage around that (last year was red shirts and green shirts with gold garland in the hair, the year before was black and white outfits with white and gold elements, previous years have included ice-blue or white-and-purple schemes...). So I sorted through the newest Christmas kits I've accumulated and polled my husband on which one I should use, and he liked the color scheme for what was then the upcoming "Holiday Magic" PS blog train.
So I staged the photo to match the kit. I managed to find scarves in four of the palette colors, grabbed a white shirt for each kid, and set them up on a couch in a hotel we stayed at for a family trip mid-month.
This was literally the last page I made, just in time for Cyber Monday sales (and just in time for more kits than just mine to be released for the blog train so I could use some other people's elements too). So this kit uses the following:
- paper strip, present border, circle tag, and sequin scatter designed by me
- green paper by Diane Hiller
- circle scatter and "Merry and Bright" word art by Crafty Moose
- ricrac ribbon by Oklahoma Dawn
