About Me
I'm a 65 year old living in Toronto Canada. I started paper scrapping in the 1990s & switched to digital in the early 2000s.
I've been happily married for 35 years with 2 adult children. We have a married adult daughter & a late son. (He had multiple severe disabilities - nonverbal autism, severe intellectual disability, atypical bipolar disorder, epilepsy and was a XYY male. We lost him 5 years ago at age 25 to SUDEP - Sudden Death in EPilepsy). I consider him my greatest teacher. Graham's photo and memorial page are here: https://www.autismbrainnet.org/donor/graham-brown/ (The same photo and tribute are also on the North American SUDEP Registry Our Stories page which he shares with others. Graham's donation was a joint donation to both sets of researchers.)
I'm retired but originally a children's librarian (public library) and then a supply (substitute) teacher. My favourite classes to teach were kindergarten, grades 1-2, middle school and especially special education. I particularly liked teaching students with autism or intellectual disabilities or adhd or learning disabilities or who needed behavioural support.
My hobbies (other than digital scrapping and photography) are knitting, board gaming, reading, journaling especially bullet journals, fountain pens, listening to a wide variety of music, classic movies and foreign language films and cooking (low carb/keto now since it controls my Type 2 diabetes.) I have a big interest in history, geography and different cultures and read a lot in these areas. I mostly read nonfiction but I do enjoy science fiction and fantasy. My husband and I share our home with 3 rescue kitties.
I consider myself a beginner with scrapbook design and I am enjoying learning.

Description
The 8 patterned papers in this kit have been previously uploaded individually. I've added 8 solid papers to match them and 6 silver celtic knot elements and combined them into a kit to celebrate the beauty of celtic knots. The colours are mostly jewel tones. All items are not shadowed, the shadows are for preview purposes only.
(All my designs are here: https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/anne-maclellan/designs ).
Celtic knots are frequently seen in Irish and Scottish history and culture. I've always loved them (I've got Scottish . There are many different signs of knots with different meanings such as strength, love, protection, the elements etc. To me personally, they represent connectness and unity. As the largest part of my heritage is highland Scots (and a smaller amount Irish), I own several different Celtic knot pendants.
Celtic knots appear frequently in Celtic art. They can be seen carved into ancient stone monuments and illustrating ancient ornate manuscripts (ie the Book of Kells in Ireland and the Scottish Psalter which date back to the 9th & 11th century respectively). Today they can be seen in modern design and jewellery.

Thank you Anne, the Celts were perhaps once my ancestors...
Love these Celtic knots.
Love these - nice rich colour palette
Thank you Anne! Such a cool kit for my collection! Rare to find anything Celtic, so thanks again!
Thank you! I love these knots!
Many thanks, such a beautiful kit.
Great kit!
Thank you!
Thank you.
You're welcome, Ronnie. Although it's the largest part of my heritage (have it on both sides), like you I also have a bit of Irish and more English. As well, I also have Pennsylvania Dutch (originally German speaking Swiss & Alsatian) on my American mom's side. Genealogy is interesting, isn't it?
Thank you Anne. These are great. I just discovered my Celtic Ancestry about 4 years ago. I'm Irish, Welsh and English with a little Scots.
