About Me
I'm a 65 year old living in Toronto Canada. I started paper scrapping in the 1990s & switched to digital in the early 2000s.
I've been happily married for 35 years with 2 adult children. We have a married adult daughter & a late son. (He had multiple severe disabilities - nonverbal autism, severe intellectual disability, atypical bipolar disorder, epilepsy and was a XYY male. We lost him 5 years ago at age 25 to SUDEP - Sudden Death in EPilepsy). I consider him my greatest teacher. Graham's photo and memorial page are here: https://www.autismbrainnet.org/donor/graham-brown/ (The same photo and tribute are also on the North American SUDEP Registry Our Stories page which he shares with others. Graham's donation was a joint donation to both sets of researchers.)
I'm retired but originally a children's librarian (public library) and then a supply (substitute) teacher. My favourite classes to teach were kindergarten, grades 1-2, middle school and especially special education. I particularly liked teaching students with autism or intellectual disabilities or adhd or learning disabilities or who needed behavioural support.
My hobbies (other than digital scrapping and photography) are knitting, board gaming, reading, journaling especially bullet journals, fountain pens, listening to a wide variety of music, classic movies and foreign language films and cooking (low carb/keto now since it controls my Type 2 diabetes.) I have a big interest in history, geography and different cultures and read a lot in these areas. I mostly read nonfiction but I do enjoy science fiction and fantasy. My husband and I share our home with 3 rescue kitties.
I consider myself a beginner with scrapbook design and I am enjoying learning.

Description
This kit has been inspired by the vibrancy of India (some of the henna/mehndi patterned papers were previously uploaded.)
I've always been interested in the culture of India. Eight years ago, my daughter married a man from south India (Andhra Pradesh) and I've learned even more about this country. India is an incredibly diverse country with multiple ethnicities. It has 22 different official languages (some with unique scripts), there are well over 100 languages spoken. It is a multi religious country with the largest faiths being Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism and Jainism and it is the birthplace of 4 major world religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism. Therefore this kit only offers a very small slice of the diversity of India.
Most of the colours in it are bright and they have been chosen to reflect the wide range of colours of Indian fabric. The gold is the favourite metal worn in India.
The shadows are for preview purposes only, all items are unshadowed.
This kit consists of the following:
