Oh, good, Christina. I hope you have fun playing around with the speckled template. That messed-up link is taunting me, but thanks for making me giggle about it being terrible. LOL
Woohoo! Thank you so much for the link (even if it looks terrible! lol)! Just snagged it!
Well, that link doesn't look very pretty, but it gets you there. And this is me lobbying for an EDIT button for these comments once again 'cause I NEED ONE!
Christina, I know you probably want to make your own, but you are very welcome to use the speckled texture I created. I shared it on my blog back when I was "Made by Holly Wood" and it is CU4CU. Flip the layers around, stack 'em up and play with the blend modes and you can get a bunch of different looks. Just a thought, my friend.

Yeah, I really like the look of these papers. Definitely different and unique! I'll have to give it go and see if I can come up with something similar.
Christina, I made the original texture when I first started designing stuff back in 2013, so I can't remember the specific set of brushes this was from but it was a dynamic brush that had the scattering set up in it for me. You could definitely get a very similar texture using any spatter brush and adjusting the scatter/jitter as you mentioned. Thanks for the kind words. So happy you found the texture interesting. That is GOOD to hear!
These are very interesting. Did you create them with the brush tool set to scatter/jitter?
Nice!
Love the name, too.
