About Me
June, 2019: I'm a retired teacher who is new to digital scrapbooking--I was attracted to it because it's such a great way to preserve memories without taking up physical space. I want to get rid of a lot of the "stuff" in my home that I no longer use or need. In my early twenties, I could pack everything I owned into a VW beetle. I have no idea how many beetles it would take to hold the debris of my life now, but I'd love to get to the point where my things and I could fit comfortably in about 650 sq ft.
Since retiring, I've developed a real passion for photographing birds, a hobby I always associated with old people--so, yes, I'm an old person. In any case, I've gone from not being able to distinguish a duck from a goose to being able to identify many of the birds found in southern Louisiana where I live. It's so satisfying to not only spot a new bird, but also to photograph it.
I also enjoy photographing my two grandchildren. When it comes to developing scrapbook pages, I really like it when I can pair two or more pictures up that either show one child doing the same thing at different ages, or that show the child doing something his/her mom or dad did when they were around the child's age. It's the continuity of life that interests me.

Description
Marisa's template inspired this: having a picture in an envelope on a digital page seems kind of magical to me and I wanted to try it out.
The telegrams are authentic-I found them in the remnants of two scrapbooks my mother made when she was young--the black construction paper-like pages weren't made to last forever and they're literally falling apart, but the pictures and mementos she put in them are in pretty good shape.

Thank you!
Beautiful heritage page. The colour palette of this kit really suits it, so good choice!
