@Jill: Never attended any school or uni in NSW but now that you are mentioning it, we had a lot of students from NSW at school and they all wanted to repeat a year (they just moved to QLD) bcz high school starts a year later or earlier in one of the states. I never understood the whole thing, but with your input it might have been out of respect. Too funny, since we are the banana benders.

Yeah, the Queenslanders beat NSW at education. I started high school when we moved to Wagga, & was almost a year younger than everyone else in the year. Unlike you, I'm not much of a playing sport person, but love other outdoor activities like bushwalking. I used to cave, abseil, canyon, but not now.

@Jill Frnech: So great, Jill. I have been at every place you lived at, in Wynnum most of all. North Side soccer (Mitchelton, go Mitchie) I spent quite a bit of time on the Wynnum pitch:) as in win'em. Sydney is quite a bit for a northside Brisbanite banana bender like myself, butit sure is awsome, no doubt!

No, Bina. My Dad was a church minister, so, we moved a lot. After Kingaroy, Gympie, then Wynnum, then Wagga Wagga, then Sydney. I've been in Sydney for the last 50 years. Moved here for work after my HSC. Was taken to The Sunshine Coast a lot as a child for holidays. Nowhere else beats it!
