By Marisa Lerin Wed, 05/11/2022 - 22:00

I thought I'd take a minute to check in on my digital scrapbooking goals for the year and see how I'm doing. You can read my initial post about my intentions for the year here.

By Marisa Lerin Wed, 02/09/2022 - 22:00

Hi! I know it's February but I'm here to share some of my goals for 2022. It's always been a mystery to me how people manage to set goals before the end of the year. I always need to new year to arrive and then I can consider my plans for the future. I've been working on these already, but I thought I'd go ahead and share them here to keep myself accountable and also to find out what you're working on (let me know in the comments below).

By Marisa Lerin Wed, 07/14/2021 - 22:00

In a previous post I covered the big idea myths that may be affecting you as a scrapbooker. Today, I'm going to look at some of the smaller ideas that may be holding you back just as much as some of those bigger ideas.

Thanks to everyone who posted their ideas here! Especially Rachel who created a lot of this list.

4 Big Myths About Scrapbooking

By Marisa Lerin Thu, 07/08/2021 - 22:00

I love scrapbooking and I have a singular obsession with it. I am somewhat amazed that for the many years I've been doing it (over ten years digital scrapbooking and basically my whole life paper scrapbooking) I have not yet tired of it. In fact I think I love it even more today than I have in the past. Part of the reason for this is that in the last few years I've really been able to focus in on what I love and do more of it. What's helped me make this breakthrough was identifying certain myths that were informing what I thought I should be doing.

My 2020 Digital Pocket Scrapbook

By Marisa Lerin Fri, 01/01/2021 - 22:00

I am feeling somewhat overly ambitious to be sharing my finished 2020 album so soon in 2021. I'm usually more behind than this. The only thing I can credit with my early success this year is my iPad which inspired me to actually decorate my scrapbook pages in my "free" time. I wrote quite a bit here about my actual process for doing this project. This is the sixth year I've completed in this format so it's quite well ingrained in my routine.

5 Great Digital Scrapbooking Layout Templates

By Marisa Lerin Thu, 10/22/2020 - 22:00

I have recently gotten really into using digital scrapbooking layout templates. Really what's happened is that I got a new iPad and it's really enjoyable to sit on the couch and make layouts, especially when most of the work is already done like it is with a template. This means I just have to pick a kit or bundle and stick the stuff in. It's such a fun time. People are often asking me to make more layout templates, and I'm starting to really understand their benefits. Again, it's just so much fun! And so easy!

New Kits: Quick Page Fun

By Marisa Lerin Mon, 04/20/2015 - 08:00

I've been working through my layouts and slowly adding some quick pages to the site. We're starting to have a pretty good collection of quick pages now, you can see them all here.

A Photo Book: Away We Go

By Marisa Lerin Fri, 03/13/2015 - 06:34

On Monday I mentioned that I had realized I didn't have a proper travel bundle. What ultimately prompted me to remedy this was the decision to make my parents a photo book for Christmas. If you've been reading this blog or been around the site for a while, you know that I travel a lot. You may also have realized this is because when I was 12 my parents moved my family overseas, first to Bolivia and then to a few other continents. Seventeen years later they returned to settle back in the States.

Some Useful Favorites

If you've been reading this blog for a little while, you'll know that I'm the genius who first came up with the idea that you can mix and match things from different kits. Or maybe it didn't go exactly like that...

Anyway, I'm smart enough to do it now, so I thought I'd share with you a few of my favorite kits I use ALL THE TIME.

Let's Fill Each Other's Buckets

By Marisa Lerin Fri, 01/30/2015 - 08:20

I've been reading The Accidental Creative by Todd Henry, which I'm about half way through, so I can recommend that part. I came across this quote and I wanted to share it here:
