mini album

I was recently asked to be a guest designer for Cocoa Daisy, and finally achieved a life-long dream of someone sending me free craft supplies. They reached out to me because they thought their August kit would particularly match my style, and they weren't wrong! It was such a delight to work with the products, and the change from my usual stash helped me to generate some new ideas, including this pocket page junk journal.

A few weeks ago I shared a redo of my college scrapbook, and today I'm excited to share with you a super mini album I made from old scrapbook pages of my time in Jamaica. This is a square 4x4 inch album, so it's super cute and super small. I printed out various pocket cards from DigitalScrapbook.com and then just cropped the photos I tore out of my scrapbook so they would fit. I added little tabs to make turning the pages easier. This was a very fast and easy project, but still very satisfying.

I've been working this year on redoing old paper scrapbooks that I'm no longer interested in keeping around, due to their enormous size and ugliness. This has also given me opportunity to check out the world of paper scrapbooking again. And while I'm finished with the unwieldy 12x12 size, I'm really keen on all the super cute mini albums that I see pass by on Pinterest. I've mentioned before that one of the main things I miss when digital scrapbooking is the scrap side of things.
