travelers notebook

I have a quick hybrid process video for you today in my travelers notebook. I used the Good Life: January Print Kit for this layout. I print these digital kits at home and I use regular copy paper. This keeps my notebook nice and thin. This layout includes a fun shaker pocket of sequins and a nice paper pile that includes scraps of a paper bag and a gold foiled paper.

And these alternative colors work quite well for fall in California, which let's face it is pretty similar to summer in California. Really hoping we get a rainy day one of these days, although I'm not holding my breath yet. How has your fall weather been?

Today I thought I'd share a few of the layouts I made in my 2017 travelers notebook. I really enjoy working in these notebooks, I think the change of size is quite refreshing after years of working on a square canvas. It's nice to switch things up! I mainly use printed graphics from DigitalScrapbook.com in this notebook, with a few other things thrown in. I print my photos in somewhat monthly batches at Mpix.com.

I have two travelers notebook spreads today, plus process videos if you're interested in that kind of thing. I enjoy using these print kits I've been making in the travelers notebook because the paper elements are perfect for using in a notebook that you don't want to get too fat. I print everything on regular copy paper, so it doesn't add too much bulk.

I know most of you here are digital scrapbookers, so you may or may not be aware of the trend in paper scrapbooking towards Travelers Notebooks. This is a specific size of notebook, each page is 11cm x 21cm (about 4x8 inches). For me the appeal of using these notebooks is first just having a different size canvas to work with. After many years of scrapbooking I'm pretty burned out on the 12x12 size. It will be a long time before I make a paper layout in those dimensions again.

I have some old bundles that are real favorites and I've toyed with the idea of making updates for them. I gave that idea a little trial run by adding a few things to my City Bicycle Bundle.
