Digital Scrapbooking Your Toddler Photos

Everyone's always talking about their baby book, but what about those pesky toddlers who run around too fast to get their photo taken?

Here's a couple tips and lots of inspiration to help you on your way if you're trying to create some digital scrapbooking spreads about a toddler in your life.

Toddler photos are super hit or miss. Are they looking at the camera? Is the photo blurry? Are you able to capture whatever it is want to document. I think for toddlers one of the best tips is just to include a bunch of photos. When you're trying to capture the moment, just hold down your finger on the photo button to enact burst mode. Then at your leisure scroll through the many options and choose a couple that capture the moment. The moment for most toddlers is a blur, so it's fine to include that in your scrapbook.

Beatrice has several great layouts that capture a whole moment with several photos.

This digital scrapbooking layout of people trying to take Christmas photos with toddler Magnus perfectly encapsulates the experience. No perfect photos, but everyone can remember the moment. Even if you weren't there.

I haven't managed to add this photo to a digital scrapbooking layout yet, but one thing I love to do with a photo I like but that doesn't look great is to just go all in on the filters and effects. A Color Story is on of my favorite apps for this. They have lots of super fun filters, but more importantly lots of fun grains, lights bursts and other effects to layer on a photo and make it feel fun.

A compilation of lots of fun photos takes the pressure off of one photo and tells a good story along the way.

Repeating the photo in the background is another way to add interest to your digital scrapbooking layout, while hiding any blurs or other issues in your toddler's photo.

Great tips! I've used filters on blurry photos too - and sometimes black and white helps if the blur isn't too bad. I have to check out that app!

Since I'm rather frequently doing pages with toddlers :D , I'm going to add that doing pages with smaller photos helps to hide some of the blurriness! Love the examples you picked.
