Favorite Personal Designs From 2018

I always feel like the new year sneaks up like it's a sprinter, and everyone has done their reflections in some magical time after Christmas that doesn't exist for me. So this year I thought I'd spend the whole month of January looking back at 2018, and that I'd share some of it here. To start I thought I'd take a look at my designs from 2018 and pick some favorites. I do make a lot of stuff, so it's easy to forget what I've done. Sometimes I have good ideas and then I forget to repeat them. Looking over what I made seems like a good place to start as I get ready to work on stuff for 2019.

To start, The Good Life project is maybe my favorite thing I've ever done. Not only do I like designing these bundles, but I also enjoy using them, which is not always true of the designs I make. I had a terrible time picking a favorite, but I guess if I have to I'll pick July. I love the bold yellow with the lighter pinks and blues. Plus black and white. I love the word art I made to go along with this bundle too. And that rose stamp.

July Good Life

I've been thinking more about what I actually like to use from a bundle, so in the new year you can expect to see lots more tags with words and papers in all the colors.

I also love whimsical illustrations, which I haven't exactly found a purpose for, but I love them anyway, so you can expect some more of that as well.

T-rex birthday

My favorite blog train bundle was the Remembrance bundle. I just loved the colors that I pulled out of the palette to make this one. For me everything lives and dies in the color palette. No pressure or anything when I'm trying to get a new project started.

I love all the layers in these layout templates:

And the torn edges in these:

Fun fact: did you know it's a lot easier to make a layout if you use a layout template? I had never really relied on them until I made my Kenya photo book, which was made almost entirely with layout templates.

These clips are so cute!

I will never get tired of excessively floral papers.

This bundle is tiny and cute!
Enjoy Each Moment

I started the year with this sweet bundle, which I loved from beginning to end, and used a bunch scrapping those early photos of Magnus.

What did you make this year that you loved?

The Good Life collab is definitely something to take great pride in! It is the highlight of each new month to see what you and your colleagues have created, and I think I have done more scrapbooking this year because of my excitement over these kits. Those birthday dinos were some of my favourite from the bunch, too!
