5 Great Digital Scrapbooking Layout Templates
I have recently gotten really into using digital scrapbooking layout templates. Really what's happened is that I got a new iPad and it's really enjoyable to sit on the couch and make layouts, especially when most of the work is already done like it is with a template. This means I just have to pick a kit or bundle and stick the stuff in. It's such a fun time. People are often asking me to make more layout templates, and I'm starting to really understand their benefits. Again, it's just so much fun! And so easy! The iPad is decently limited in what it can do, so starting with a template is really a must. Trying to make the layers from scratch on the iPad doesn't really work, so I'm always browsing around on DigitalScrapbook.com looking for templates with the layers ready to go. So I guess what I'm saying is watch out for more layout templates from me as I get into making layouts again. Also, I'm finding I have a certain style that I like, which mirrors my paper scrapbooking, which is the more random layers the better.
In my quest for more and great digital scrapbooking layout templates, here are a few kits that are already available, so you don't have to wait for my next batch of layout templates to appear.
I know I just said I like lots of layers on my layout templates, but I also love a good little cluster of random stuff. This collection of templates from Elif is one of the most popular layout template kits on the site, so they're probably worth checking out.
Going in the opposite direction from the previous kit, these layout templates have a lot going on. Layers are everywhere, so you're going to need a good number of papers to fill all the spaces available (you can take a look at our collection of digital scrapbooking papers to find some good ones).
Even though I made these layout templates over five years ago, I actually remember making them and how pleased I was with them. Flash forward to now, and I still think they're pretty great. I think I'll have to give them another try.
When I make a layout template, I usually tend to focus on the papers. I'm not as big on including (or using) elements. Embellishments are sort of an after thought for me. But these layout templates by Sharon-Dewi give you lots of direction for including your digital embellishments.
I've always loved the little hidden pockets included in some of these layout templates, as well as the larger layered piles of digital papers.
Now that I've taken the time to look through and pull out these layout templates kits, I've excited to give them a try, and I hope maybe you are too!
(If you need more templates in general, our collection of templates for scrapbooking is a great place to be).

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
