Looking Back at February

It's always hard to believe when the month is over, and February doesn't really help the situation by being so short. We had a very mild and enjoyable month, spring is well on it's way, which seems to be a bit unusual from reports I've heard of other places around the country. But the daffodils are up and the cherry blossoms are ready to burst out any day now. There's not much better than the arrival of spring.

@Pamela: I have lots of friends and family in Minnesota, so I've been getting a lot of your sentiments from my photos. Although, at least they have running water! I hope your pipes thaw soon. I am not a flower expert, so I couldn't tell you about the flowers in my photos, unless it's something obvious like a tulip...

Hello Marisa, Oh my goodness! I am SO jealous that your area has daffodils and other blossoms already?!! I am in Ontario, Canada, and like much of the continent, we are still in the grips of winter, and will be until early- to mid-April! The water service pipes to my house from the city water supply froze solid last week, so I have had NO running water for the last 10 days! Managing a household without running water is very difficult, as you may imagine. So, it did my heart good to see your lovely photographs, especially the blooming shrub. Is that a Kalmia latifolia (Mountain Laurel) by any chance? I also must say how very much I enjoy reading your blogs, and seeing your lovely and fun photographs. Thank you for sharing this glimpse of your life with us, your devoted fans! From Pamela Richardson, in Ontario, Canada

@Vicky: It's actually a screenshot of my shuttercal calendar. If you click on the photo it will take you to the website I use to keep track of a photo a day.

Very nice - thanks for sharing! How did you make the collage in the first photo?

Love seeing your signs of spring! Our poor robins are just beginning to show themselves, and with several feet of snow showing no sign of going away anytime soon, we worry about what they will eat! Thanks for the reminder it really will happen!

All I can say is I wish MY husband was computer savvy. I have to do all the networking, maintaining, updating and fixing if anything goes wrong with the computers, and I know just enough to be dangerous! I love your artsy photos. :-)
