March 2015 Pocket Pages

I'm settling into a bit of a rhythm with my monthly pocket pages. And I'm feeling pretty good, since I actually finished up my March pages at the beginning of April, which is ahead of my usual schedule. What worked for my this month, was every Saturday I spend a little time laying out the weekly spread, just with photos and any text I wanted to include. This way things were still fresh in my mind, so I could get those details ready, but I could hold off on the decorating part while I finished up some designing. Then, once I finally had the bundles I wanted, I just spent a little time making everything pretty. It was a great success.

I don't have any regular layouts this month, as I didn't have a lot of photos and was enjoying working with the pockets. I even made a few more templates.

Pocket Layout Templates

For these layouts I used Violet's lovely Already There Bundle, pieces from all the Garden Party kits, as well as a bundle I'll be releasing at the end of the month. Spoilers!

what a great way to make sure you keep everything in order for you pocket pages. I have fallen behind with my p52 weekly layouts and it is sorting through the photos to get them in the right weeks that is holding me back from getting them caught up! I will try your method and see if it helps in the future, thanks for the great tip!

Of course your pages are lovely too and definitely put your spin on the pocket page.

Great start. I like your pictures and journaling first, then fill in the rest later approach.

I love all your pages! I'm really enjoying seeing you take the pocket scrapping format and make it your own. Thanks for sharing your process for making these - I'm going to give it a try, it seems like it could be really helpful to separate out the decision-making into two batches (first photos/journaling, *then* fitting cards, papers, elements into the already determined layout). Your layouts make Already There look awesome, and I am so excited for this new mystery bundle - those are some enticing spoiler pages!
