My 2017 Pocket Album
(The cards featured in this post were provided free of charge by MPix for me to review. Thoughts and opinions are my own.)
I recently worked with one of my favorite print companies, MPix.com, to print my 2017 pocket book. This is the third year I've had them print books for me, and it's super exciting to see my collection grow. 2017 is the first year I managed to get all my pages into one book, which I made a concerted effort to do, after the previous year's project took three books. I'm afraid this may be a singular event as I have not been able to limit myself to one page spreads this year, too many baby photos require a full two page spread every week. If I can keep it to two books I'll be happy.
But that's not really the point. The main thing is that I've stuck through this project for full three years, and now in my fourth I still love it! The added bonus of seeing past years' books on my shelf is also very motivating. (You can see all my pocket pages here.)
Here the books are on my shelf. My life philosophy can be summed up in the fact that in my mind I want everything to be simple and uniform (all black photo books) and then in reality I add a bunch of crazy stuff.
The even crazier situation next to my photo books are the baby journals I'm making about Magnus. These books have finally allowed my complete random desires to be fulfilled. You can tell I love them because I've made three of them while also working and taking care of Magnus. #craftpriorities
If you're looking to get a photo book printed, now is a great time. Right now (from June 4-7) Mpix is having a sale, and everything is 20% off! I'll be stocking up on prints myself. The quality of their prints is definitely noticeable, I'm usually disappointed when I get prints from a different place. Their metal prints are also stunning. We have one, and my parents have ordered several.

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
