New Kits: Quick Page Fun
I've been working through my layouts and slowly adding some quick pages to the site. We're starting to have a pretty good collection of quick pages now, you can see them all here.
I've never used quick pages much myself, so I'm curious how people use them, and what your preferences are. Do you prefer a more simple quick page so you can add your own touch? Or do you prefer a complex look so that the end product is both quick and impressive?
Would you enjoy working with a layered quick page, so you can move items around, or are quick pages mostly about being quick as the name implies?
Do you prefer a collection of coordinating quick pages to create a finished matching project? Or do you like to indulge your random side? And if you do like a collection, what sort of themes are you looking for and how many quick pages should be included?
And how about clusters, ie elements already grouped for you so you can just stick them on the page?
So many questions! So many quick pages!

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

Absolutely beautiful!
@France: Haha :)
oops, I left my comment on the wrong page! *rolls eyes*
ooh, great pages and I'm so honored to be a part of this line up!!! Thank you!! Your QPs are gorgeous too!!! Well done!
These pages are fantastic, Marisa! I'm not really a digiscrapper. I prefer traditional and hybrid, but......I have tons to scrap and can't use my physical stuff while we are preparing to move, so I've been working on digital pages as my 'reward' or relaxation during this stressfull time. I may be won over to adding digi to my repertoire, but I know I'll never convert to all digi.
I've looked over these pages and plan to use many of them...just the way they are, which is what I consider a 'Quick Page' to be, just drop in the pictures.
I do like the idea of clusters, frame stacks, etc, for use when I want a little more creative option, but still want things to be quicker than designing and creating a page from scratch. Especially because those elements can be used to dress up pocket page LOs quickly.
When it comes to having things in layers that allow total freedom and flexibility, I consider those to be the Layout Templates, which I have been searching through to use, as well.
I think all of it has a place and look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
I forgot..
I have never made a co-ordinated photobook.. But I plan to make a book about our garden.
I have already promised copies of the book to several in my family.
We are 3 generations living together and we have a big garden with hundreds of different flowers, bushes trees.
Many of them with their own special story..
.. Like a big.. I mean BIG bush/tree called something like Thunia..
- Anyway.. my grandfather got it when he was 50 years old.. it was about 25 cm (10 inches) and in a small pot.
That was about 45 years ago.. Then 39 years ago he died and my father planted it in our garden..
Now it`s 8-10 meters high (even tho we've cut it down several times).
I want to tell stories like that.. but I haven't found a kit/collection for it yet..
What I want is a lot of neutrals, not too minimalistic and clean..maybe a little shabby.
.. it`s important the kit lets the photos be the focus.
.. and a lot of the photos are colorful..
stickers, signs I can write on myself.. Stamps lines, frames, arrows..
..twine.. plain cardboard (like Texture Kit #5 - Cardboard -Paper 56).
And instead of lots of pattern paper.. I`d love colored overlays to blend.
Gentle paint splatter.. ink splatter (good for blending)..
Popsicle sticks, Transparent photo corners, Transparent wrinkly Scotch Tape. Maybe some old tape.
Seed bags, season signs (when to plant a seed)..
And several samples of the same staplers.. looking slightly different.. e.g. a bit bended.. so not all staplers on a page look the same.
I`m not good at recoloring papers.. so a good stack of Solid papers with "real" texture (like "The Most Useful White Papers Kit").. would be awesome.
If you are interested in making a collection like that and want input/inspiration/photos let me know.
My book will be in Norwegian.. so its important that elements with text also comes as "blanks" so I can write in my own language.
I LOVE clusters.. but not those too 3D. Don`t like "floating" elements.
And I prefer if the clusters come BOTH with and without shadow.
QP.. Just slip pics under.. write something.. flatten and DONE!
I`ve made and sent some for birthdays, christmas. but not all designers allow that.
(I think all designers should allow that for 72 res 1000 px pages.. they can`t be printed pretty.. but great for e.g. email, Facebook).
But if I bought a huge bundle for making co-ordinating pages for a photobook I think I`d also use co-ordinating QP`s. (Specially if I knew the person who made the QP and the QP`s are pretty).
About Layered QP.. That would be awesome.. you can move pieces, add and remove..
I`m not sure that could be called QP tho.. And the files will be huge!
An Idea for QP in a Bundle would be to Not add to much elements.. Like "QP Base" or "Page Base"..
They are sooo pretty! I almost never used QP so I don´t have preferences regarding to them. Sometimes I use pre-made clusters thoug, but onlu if they don´t have outside shadows and match other things that I have.
I'd love to see what your CT would make with these - what would they add to them?
Really great!
These look lovely Marisa.
I have never yet used a quick page and rarely use clusters as they never seem to be quite what I want. I have recently turned some of my own layouts into quick pages for my own use. I kept the elements layered so I can change them around if I need to or just swap pictures in, so far I haven't actually used any of them though!
