Redoing Digital Scrapbook Layouts to Represent My Style

I've shared a couple posts of redone layouts (post 1, post 2, post 3) and they seem to elicit a lot interest, which I guess makes sense because who doesn't love a good before and after! So I thought I'd go ahead and share a few more.

In my last post, there were some comments about how my style had changed, which made me reflect that perhaps the main reason I am doing this project is because when I made these layouts I didn't really have a style. I was new to digital scrapbooking and just finding my footing. So I was doing lots of scraplifting and just trying to figure out how to use Photoshop. I love the photos from this time, but looking at my digital scrapbook pages is always a little painful, not because they are really bad, but because they just don't really look like something I would make. They represent other people's ideas and trends, and now that I'm a confident digital scrapper, I'd rather they reflect my own ideas and trends. Realizing this makes me a feel a little less weird for redoing layouts that are technically fine.

I share about all my layouts from my trip to Cambodia here. But here are a few of my favorite redos:

This is actually one of my favorite layouts I've made. I love this vertical style layout.

This one barely changed. But you can see that all I really want in my layout is more stuff.
Just add sequins!

Thanks for looking :)

@Anita: Yes, many people like the first ones, which is why it's felt a little weird to redo them. They aren't terrible!

Wonderful. This is a liberating perspective. Curiously, your first ones are closer to my style, and I like them more. Thanks for sharing :)

Your note was so interesting and I definitely related to it. To a degree, I think our styles change in small ways as time goes by for one reason or another but I see that as a good thing. And I love the idea of redoing older pages, especially with photos that we really love and just can't get enough of. Thanks for sharing your before and afer's.
