Summer 2014 Road Trip: Cruising

You may have forgotten in the distraction of all my posts, that the whole point of our trip east was to attend the graduation of Jordan's brother from the Coast Guard Academy. It was wonderful to see the school and to be there for such a special ceremony.

Since Jordan's whole family was able to be together for the graduation, his parents thought it would be even better if we all went on a cruise to celebrate. And so we did! We left on a foggy day from New Jersey, with the Statue of Liberty and the skyline of New York City just barely visible.

▼ There was ice skating.

▼ Fancy dinners.

▼ A stop in Bermuda.

▼ A stop in St. Maarten.

▼ And a stop in Puerto Rico.

▼ With a carriage ride.

▼ There was always a party going on somewhere.

▼ As well as places to relax away from the crowds.

It was a luxurious and relaxing way to travel, and I'm already looking forward to the next time we can hop on a very large boat.

I always enjoy looking at your pictures, this time I especially enjoyed the skating pic, it is adorable, and you two look so fabulous all dressed up for dinner...You two enjoy life so much it is fabulous to see..!

Charles and I have been on over 25 cruises....our opinion.....the only way to vacation! Favorite places - 10-12 Day from San Fran to Alaska and 14- Day from LA to Hawaii. We've been on so many our favorite part now is the sea days! Looks like you had an absolutely wonderful time!

I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
