Traveling Around Jordan: the Dead Sea

To continue with our blog trip around Jordan (see the first stop here), the next stop is the Dead Sea.

CIMG4241

Located at the lowest place on Earth, 1,388 ft (423 meters) below sea level, it's one of the saltiest bodies of water on the planet. This means that the water is extra buoyant and the mineral rich mud is good for your skin. Floating in the water is one of the more unique experiences I've had. Moving around is really difficult. You can kind of walk around without your feet touching anything, although trying to keep you feet underneath you instead of bobbing up to the surface is a challenge.

What is the black stuff on your skin? Is that to protect it?

Hi Marisa, I have the following file (well the one from before you set up the new site but it looks the same except the heart is pink) and I cannot figure out how to copy the layer style because it says uneditable. I have PSE 9. If this new one is different and will work with PSE I will download it but just thought I would ask first. Thanks, Connie stampgramATyahooDOTcom

That salty water does odd things, eh? It's beautiful! Very serene. Think of the history, too! Wow! Thank you for sharing!

Oh, it looks like a "deep breath with long exhale"... (relaxing). And you look great in mud!

Aww, I remember the Dead Sea. Such a unique experience. My poor kiddos have eczema, the salt water was so painful for them. But they did enjoy the floating aspect!
