About Me
I'm a 40-something woman with way too much time on my hands! I'm an avid camper, kayaker, animal lover, amputee, and very proud Aunt to 2 newly adopted, amazing kids (which is good, as they make up most of my scrapbooking!). I live with my 2 dogs Cody & Kaylynn, cat Akasha, conure Sprite (the fairy, not the soft drink...) and fish who are, sadly, unnamed.

I'm making this page for a friend of mine who was sworn in as President of the National Exchange Club at their convention this spring. (Exchange is the nation's leading service organization, founded in Detroit in 1911. Among other things, they have a national service project of the prevention of child abuse, and they're the ones responsible for the word 'God' being added to our Pledge of Allegiance.)
I could use some advice - does the cluster in the bottom look OK, or is it out of place? I want to have those 3 elements, as they are important to Tom, but I'm just not happy with what I came up with. (and is it just me or does Tom bear a striking resemblance to the teddy bear logo at the bottom? I never noticed that before...)
No kit used. The Louisiana cutout is a free PSE brush I found online.

great thinking, using the State as photo mask! and Kaleenas suggestion sounds interesting
I think this page looks pretty great as it is, Caileigh - I like the simple blue background.
Maybe you could make the photo and the journaling a bit bigger and center it. Then take the 3 things at the bottom and make them all similar in size and spread them out either at the bottom or the top like they do with film festival laurels (see example here: http://meetinthelobby.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Welcome-to-Pine-Hill-Movie-Poster-Large.jpg and here: http://risingfromashesthemovie.com/sites/risingfromashesthemovie.com/files/movie-poster_0.jpg )
