About Me
I grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and moved to the Salt Lake City, Utah area seven years ago. I have been married to my husband Dave for almost fourteen years now. We have three children- Blake, Jacob, and Kara.
I have a passion for family history. I was really pleased to discover the DigitalScrapbook.com site as Ancestry announced last week that they will be closing down the MyCanvas publishing site in September. I had previously used this site to make family history books. I am now making pages in Power Point and have been pleased with the results using embellishments from this site. I am in the process of making a book about the descendants of my great-grandparents John Joseph McNulty and Loretta Grace Siddons who had sixteen children.
I am the Abel clan historian for the Thomas Munson Foundation. Thomas was my 10th great-grandfather. I am actively helping to compile family data sheets for cousins lines who are not in the first five volumes of The Munson Record.
I have researched family history for others in the past but a lot of my efforts these days are focused on helping my cousins get to know their family lines better through Facebook family websites where I have shared my family history scrapbook pages and pictures.
I am a stay at home mom and dedicated family historian/genealogist. I also babysit for younger children in my home during the school year.
Type of Project
Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
I made this page about my 2nd great-grand uncle and his wife using the ancestry My Canvas program. All embellishments on this page are from My Canvas. I used a light background with some trees in it and also added some butterflies and flowers since these two embellishments are commonly used to represent weddings and new beginnings. I changed the photo to a sepia tone to match the background and emphasized the last name by using an ornate M and C.

I will have to look into this Catherine, thank you for the resources although I doubt I will find much but it's worth a look. :)
Thank you! I have gathered photos from family members and have got lots of photos from ancestry.com. Judy, Familysearch.org also allows members to post photos to their site now so perhaps you may find some photos there. It is a great free genealogy resource.
I like the subtle background and strong alpha in the name.
Your posts on the family genealogy are so very cool. I wish I had tons of old photos to do this. I have some but not very many.
Andrea Barskiy,I also have many pages of documents. I'll have to post some of those ones as well. I made these pages in the My Canvas program which is being discontinued in September but I have been able to make similar pages using Power Point. =)
I've been watching your posts on your family history. I'm a genealogist and you are giving me so many ideas for my book! You're lucky to have so many old pictures. My book will be more about documents! :P Thank you so much for sharing. I'm really enjoying this! :)
