I'm a mother of a very active boy! I've been scrapbooking since he was born and started designing a little after that. I also work full time and scrapbooking is my main way of relaxing (besides reading).

I used Our Special Day Collab by DigitalScrapbook.com designers, and Marisa's Paint brushes (set #44)
There was massive use of treshold involved here.
Tx!

I'm happy you like it girls! If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask!
Hugs!
Thank you. I did try it, but did the threshold thing, removed the background and clipped paper over the shape. Making the brush is a better way
Love it! Thanks for sharing your technique!
Hi Nan, sorry, I was AFK for a couple of days, I am only now seeing your request.
Here we go: (I'll try to teach you how to replicate what I did in Craft Artist in photoshop:)
-First of all, go to Image--> Adjustment --> Treshold (This will turn your picture black & white, with no gray areas)
-Play with the lever until you are happy with the result
-Now, I think the easiest way to go on is turn the picture into a brush (go to edit --> define brush preset)
-Chose a color and stamp a new layer with your new brush
-Now, aply a mask to this layer (There are a few techniques for this, tell me if you need help with that too) I used some of marisa's awesome paint brushes for building my mask.
I hope you have lots of fun with this!!!! :D
Lovely photo.
