Pixel Scrapper has a new domain!

Dear Pixel Scrapper community:

Thani and I have been working hard all day, but after long hours of work, we've finally done it--our domain is switched! DigitalScrapbook.com's new address is www.DigitalScrapbook.com! If you didn't already see it, please check out our announcement about the change.

The important point from the announcement is that despite the new domain, Pixel Scrapper itself isn't be changing (we have not been bought by another company or anything like that!) -- we just have a new web address. smiley

We've had to roll back our database:

Unfortunately, because of some issues tied up with the domain change, we've had to roll back our database, and have lost about a day's worth of content, which means you'll need to re-post or re-upload anything you added to the site in that time. We're always very sorry to have to do this: so please accept our sincerest apologies. We value every layout and every post that you add to the site, and hate to lose any of it. If you wrote a particularly long forum post or reply that was lost, please contact us and we can see if we can retrieve it.

As always, any kits or graphics that were lost during this period will be re-uploaded to the site shortly.

The browse and search pages will slowly repopulate:

Our internal search engine which controls our browse and search pages needs to re-index all of our content--which means it will take a few hours before everything shows up as expected. But don't worry: all of the graphics, kits, and layouts are safe and sound, and will show up soon. smiley

Things may be a little bit rocky for the next few days:

We very much hope that everything will be smooth sailing from here on out, but there's always the chance with a change like this that we might encounter a hiccup or two, and might even have to rollback our database again: so please take extra care to backup anything you add to the site in that time (something that we always recommend). For long forum posts or replies, please save a copy in Google Docs or something similar so that you don't have to worry about losing anything if we have to roll back again.

Let us know if you run into any trouble:

The site should work just as before, and all your old bookmarks should go through just fine. If you have any unexpected trouble, please let us know so that we can be aware of anything that needs fixing.

Thanks for your support! smiley

Thanks always for being such a loving and supportive community. We know change can be a little bit scary, but we hope that together we can just keep making DigitalScrapbook.com better and better.

Thanks for the update on your site. Oh, I keep everything backed up, on my E drive, and 3 external drives. I just bought a 4th but it didn't work and have to send it back to Amazon and get a replacement (it was 4TB). The 3rd I just got recently and it's 8 TBs. I love you site, with all the creative ideas and downloads available.
