This is what I think after seeing these words used:
Ombre was just a trendy word people were using for a gradient. I think it may be a smaller gradient, so within the same color family. Like you'd have a pink ombre. But with gradients you can technically blend anything.
Sarah you can use gradients to make Ombres.
That is how I do mine.
What exactly are they anyway? I've been out of the loop for quite a while, and don't recall Ombres.
