Hello everyone, My name is Kathy Stewart, handle "Kasoonka." I am an army brat and have lived in many places in Canada, plus have traveled to many countries with my job. I have one, grown-up son and a loving husband. Since retirement, we travel to Arizona every winter. To preserve the memories I started scrapbooking with a group of friends. For about a decade I used store bought tools, paper and elements. I loved correcting/improving my photos. Enter Adobe Photoshop and digital scrapbooking. Last year I took many online courses and am really just learning how to make the best of my abilities. Digitalscrapbook.com and several other online forums have been such a blessing. I love the monthly blog trains and the inspiration they bring. I thank you all for participating to make all of our lives so much better, especially during these COVID times.

Thanks everyone for saying hello! So fun to have so many new faces.

Hi, I live in the Netherlands, married, 2 children and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Years ago I made paper scrapbooks. I have since made a lot of photo books in which I try to make creative pages, but now that I have discovered digital scrapping, a new world opens up for me. So nice to try out everything and have already found my favorite designers.

Hi, I live in New Zealand and have been messing with graphics software for years. I do digital scrapbooking as part of my journaling process so most of my spreads are pretty wordy. I mostly write about day-to-day stuff and what I'm reading/writing/watching at the time, and moan about my inability to finish various challenges that I find online.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's spreads!

Hi, I'm Susan and I live in Western Canada. I have been a photography enthusiast for almost 40 years (with a short pause to take up glass beadmaking/fusing and silversmithing). I started in the film days, doing B&W darkroom and was a photo lab supervisor (film) for 7 years. You would think post processing digital images would be a breeze for me. Nope, computers and me don't seem to get along. I have had Paint Shop Pro for 3 years and never used it. Until a month ago when I took a freebie course at Scrapbook Campus. I was never a scrapbooker, but I have to say I am hooked. And I am blown away that I can create something like this...on a computer no less! I am a rank newbie in the scrapbooking and design department. Digitalscrapbook.com is awesome. So many supplies at the click of a button. I am greatful for the free downloads and I am inspired by the designers and the contibutors to this site.

Welcome everyone! So glad to have some new faces here.

Hi, I'm new from South Texas. Recently rekindling my love of scrapbooking

Hello,
My name is Ruth Helpful, and I come from New Zealand. I am 37 years old and have 7 children my youngest is 6 weeks old. I am a trained Early Childhood teacher and live and work on the West Coast of the South Island. I have always loved taking photos especially of my family. Keeping memories has become so important to me after losing my Dad 15 years ago to cancer and realizing that I had next to no photos of him and he was gone. I love to fiddle with photos and make them look nice, and often work on projects for my brothers and sisters families as well.
Just recently I have decided that I would like to make a family scrapbook, so here I am!

Hi Ruth, I'm up in Marlborough and just joined recently as well. It's always nice to see a local online, the whole internet seems to be in opposite timezones sometimes!

Hii. I am Anjana from India. A history enthusiast and photoshop lover. Glad to be a part of this wonderful community.

I am married with 3 girls, Dylan (11), Bailey (7) and Cori (2). I truly believe I was born with artsy fartsy he blood running through my veins. Now, 40 years later, that is still what truly describes me. I’ll began scrapbooking when I was a freshman in college. I slowly began to use more techniques and try out new products. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I went to my first crop with friends from work. My passion for scrapbooking truly took off that weekend. Now, 11 years later, from my first crop, I have decided to dip my toes in to the digital world of scrapbooking. I love practicing my lettering and drawing on Procreate anyways. I recently had to scrap purge my craft room which was beyond emotional. I love stuff. Though he denies it, I know my husband was doing a little happy dance in hiding.
Y’all be patient with me and my questions on my digital scrapbooking endeavor. I am super pumped and ready to get this show on the road! I can’t wait to meet some new scrapping buddies!

Hi, I'm Amanda and I'm a senior in college. I've been using DigitalScrapbook.com for years (since about HS) to create things. smiley

Welcome everyone! Thanks for saying hello!

Hi Everyone! So excited to hang with this fun group! I've been digi-scrapping for about 10 years and scrapbooking for about 20. Homeschooling Mom to a teenager (Senior this year! Yay!) Excited to "meet" everyone!

Welcome Beryl!

I loved paper scrapbooking but when I would get all the stuff out, I wouldn't put ot away for several days as it takes a lot of time to pull out, create, and put away. So it would occupy a table for a couple weeks before I would get it pout away, sometimes without as much creating as I had hoped. My sister kept suggesting digital scrapbooking but I always told her how much I loved the acts of cutting, shaping, pasting. She convinced me to help her with a mothers day gift. She started the digital scrapbook for our step mom and grandma and then I just tinkered with what she had done. I was hooked! Luckily I had years of photos to scrap. This was the best!! It was thematic rather than chronological and I loved it. The finished result was also wonderful and is a joy to look through. I eventually I got "caught up" on scrapbooking. I even scanned all my old paper ones over because digital takes up so much less space. I have made a scrapbook for a different sister. But now I find I am too caught up. I want to create, but I don't want to have too many scrapbooks. After all part of scanning them was to reduce what my kids get to go through or store when I die. I wish I had more friends for whom I could scrapbook. My sister was fine because I know her and could include plenty of journaling, or ask her for details. I feel like journaling is key- otherwise it is just a photo album. But asking that level of detail for not family seems unlikely. So I just make lots of blank pages to create something without making an insane number of pages to print.

Welcome Tobreth! Thanks for sharing some of your scrapbooking journey. It's always interesting to hear people's stories.

Hi, I am Monique, from the Netherlands.
I love photography and I like to learn software. So I started to combine this. Teaching myself through Youtube and recently found this community where I hope to learn much more.

Hello, I am Annelie, from Sweden. I´m soon 45 years old, single with no kids/family.
I´ve been a member here for some time, and I´ve been a subscriber for a bit more than 6 months now, so suddenly I´ve become a patron! I have not been active here, I struggle with forums, I always have. It´s something with the "format" that I struggle with.
But I thought now that atleast I can try write an introduction! (I don´t think I have written before but I´m unsure!)
I have always been a "crafty person" in most of my life, atleast since my teens. "digital crafting" started maybe 15 years ago. It started with an education involving designing webpages and then learning some basic photoshop for designs for the webpages. That is long outdated, lots have happened since then with internet and webdesign and photoshop. But I got "hooked" on photoshop and then I learned the program PaintShopPro (PSP) also. I´ve done some courses both in Photoshop and PSP since then but that was also a long time ago. Since some years ago (maybe 8-10 years ago) I started trying to make some basic digital scrapbook pages. I still make them but not so many, but I´ve never done very many scrapbook pages/layouts. I mostly make digital artjournaling pages now. But even more I use photoshop or PSP top create digital projects for hybrid uses. I make digital stuff that I print and use in paper crafting. And I also print papers, elements, designs that I have downloaded from this page and other places, to use in my crafts. mostly for making cards, artjournal/mixed media, decorations for my home and gifts. Other crafting I do, is crochet, embroidery/stitching, fabric crafts, sewing, painting/drawing, painting/coloring coloringpages.
Well, that´s what I can think of right now.
I can´t work because of many different disabilities, I have both mental and physical health issues that makes it impossilble to work sadly. So my crafting is what saves me, to cope with my long days mostly at home.

Welcome! Thanks for sayin hi!

@Annelie: Looking forward to seeing your projects!

Hi, I'm Cindy from Florida! I've been digital scrapping for about 15 years. I love it so much! So much better than the messes I made before with glue and glitter!

Welcome Cindy! Can't wait to see some of your projects.

Hi everyone, I am Paully. I am 46 and live in the US. I am actually in the process of moving. I have been creating since my Mom passed in 2004 and find it very therapeutic. Looking forward to getting to know you. xx

Welcome Cindy!

Oh my! I did it, I went down the rabbit hole looking for my post that I'm sure I did several years ago. I got to page 80 and I'm still 6 years out! I have to say it's been a blast "meeting" all the people I've been seeing around here and other sites for the past few years, and watching some grow up and become fantastic designers in their own right! I've been here all day and still haven't found my post....so here's a do-over!
I'm Anna, a married, 60 year old, 30+ year Labor & Delivery nurse in North Texas with one special needs son who is now 24 and will be with us from now on. He is the reason I scrap, because he just loves looking at the bound books of family, friends, pets and places we've been. We have a small ranch here with a few critters left, trying to downsize and slow down a little. Life is busy with working extra because of Covid, and adding an apartment to the house for my father who is in the process of moving in with us. I manage to try to get a dozen or so layouts done a week, but I am still thrilled to see I'm not the only one who does more digi-hoarding than layouts! Looking forward to getting a little more active with challenges and such, but have no notions of EVER designing anything! Thank you for this wonderfully helpful site and community!

Hi everyone! My name is Meghan, and I live in New Hampshire. I made my first scrapbook in (gulp) 1987, to commemorate my junior high school career. Since then, I have completed many, MANY scrapbooks with paper, scissors, glue, etc. I discovered the absolute JOY of digital scrapbooking during the Coronavirus stay-at-home order, and now I'm honestly not sure if I'll ever go back to the paper-and-glue version! I love being able to reuse a favorite paper, change the color of an embellishment, or suddenly change my mind and rearrange a layout entirely. There's so much flexibility in digital scrapbooking (and so much less mess. smiley ) I recently began completing layout challenges on another website, and I'm looking forward to entering some challenges here too.

Welcome Cindy!

Hi everyone, my name is Imke. I live in the Netherlands. I have been planning to scrapbook for a while, but never found the courage to start. Last May I started with a first attempt and now I really love to create pages with my family photo's. I also like to keep track of the funny things my kids say and of inspiring quotes. Currently I am experimenting with combining all that in the scrapbook format. I love the creations you all have made, it is really inspiring. There are such beautiful things on here, thank you for sharing it.
