July 2021 DC Color Qi: Lilac

Qi as in Chinese, literally: air, breath. power, life. So we are looking for the essence of Jacques, what you think this color says.
The challenge here is to either make:
a swatch with our color
or a swatch and a mini (3 papers, 5 elements at least) with our color
or some graphics with our color.

Such a pretty color! This will be fun working with.

Happy you like it, Christina.

I can't tell what the color number is. Does it matter if it's "close enough"? Is this it? cea9dc

The HEX is 9669a8

I don't work with purples that often because its not one of my favorite colors. For some reason it makes me think of getting old. This probably comes from a book I remember my mother reading called "When I Get Old I Shall Wear Purple." That made me think of family history and grandparents. I had created this Heritage kit probably 5 years ago and it had purple in it. I then challenged myself to update the kit and change the purple color in the kit to match the criteria here. That was an interesting process as I have never done that before. So basically instead of creating a whole new kit, I put my designer skills to the test and completely modified an existing one. I hope you all enjoy.

You can find this kit in the Commons.

I remember that, too, "When I get old I will wear purple"! ROFL!
Now that I am old-"er", I'm actually loving purple.
I don't know why.
I go in cycles.
I was really into lime green for awhile, too, and before that, it was hunter green.
So, this kit of yours is GORGEOUS to me!
I especially love that tree.
Thank you!

So beautiful @Karry Dempsey! Thanks for playing along and sharing your gorgeous kit, love it smiley

I don't use much purple, either, Karry, but your beautiful kit has given me a reason to do so; thanks!

Christina, I'm now getting the same "infected web page" notification when I try to download your file from Mediafire as I got when I tried to download Cintia's blog train contribution from Mediafire yesterday. You might want to see if there have been any reports about a problem with Mediafire.

@Deborah I have no idea what's causing that error for you. I tried using Edge browser (normally I use Chrome) without being logged in to Mediafire and the download went just fine for me. However, I added Dropbox to my previous post. Hopefully, that one will work for you. smiley

Christina, the Dropbox link worked perfectly; thanks so much!

You're welcome, Deborah!

So pretty @Christina Carrano. Thanks for playing along and sharing your creation. smiley

Fun colors. Thank you.

@Robin Sampson: Gorgeous, Robin! Thanks for playing along smiley

Love this so much. Might be time to go through the family albums and complete this beautiful layout.

Thank you for sharing, Karry. smiley

Bina, now that it's July, will you be posting a link or coupon code for your kit?

@Deborah Craytor: Naw, sorry, not any time soon.
