Watching Netflix?

Although Canadian Netflix is different than American Netflix, sometimes there's some overlap so here's my recommendation.

I just finished watching an Australian show called Love on a Spectrum. It follows several young adults between 19 and 29 with high functioning autism as they are looking for love. It also profiles 2 established couples, one who is engaged, the other who have just moved in together. (My late son had severe nonverbal low functioning autism & was at the other end of the spectrum.) The series is non exploitative, informative and many of the participants are lovely people. The 2 couples are wonderfully supportive and accepting of each other. Apparently it's been very popular in Australia and many of the participants have become well known. I recommend it.

a friend recommended it to me and i am watching it. its awesome! love it. there is also a show called Atypical. a drama - same idea - person on the spectrum starting to date. and its about his family too! good show

Sarah, I've heard about Atypical - I haven't seen it yet although it's on my list to watch.

I must watch it too! Although Israelian Netflix is different than Canadian Netflix (we mostly have American Shows).

Thanks for the recommendation!

Currently we ar watching Unorthodox. Just finished Queens Gambit on HULU. Waiting for the new season of Fargo.

I am watching Unsolved Mysteries, Blue Bloods or Law and Order SUV

Finished Schitt's Creek recently, as well as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, loved both! Started Community & You're the Worst (HULU)...still need to finish The Queen's Gambit. Just put Bridgerton on my Netflix list, hubby and I will start that one soon. Unorthodox and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are on my current list too. I have a large list actually. Started watching Alice in Borderland this weekend, it's great if you like psych-thrillers and sub titles. I'm also VERY MUCH looking forward to season 9 of Dexter coming out soon. I also watched the Innocence Files, Repair Shop, and Rhys Nicholson

LOVED "Love on the Spectrum" really looking forward to future seasons!

Coming of age anyone?
Never Have I Ever is a fun take.

Just finished rewatching The Windsors, it's so cheeky and funny! Great to have on in the background when I'm working on my scrapbook smiley

Superstore for something funny and a bit crass.
New Amsterdam for when I want something a bit more but am really playing in photoshop.
The Fall if you want a good crime.
Firefly Lane for something good... smiley

Just finished bingeing Lucifer. I also really liked Firefly Lane, The Queen's Gambit, and Enola Holmes.

Enola Holmes was so good!

Yes, indeed! I recommend it to everyone!

My husband and I have been watching Longmire! Its quite good!

I have just finished Firefly Lane! Loved it! I can not wait for the second season!

Recently watched two great movies:
Buddies. Brazilian comedy about a group of friends with Down Syndrome who steal a car and go exploring the country together.
Whatever Happened to Mr. Cha? Korean comedy about an aging star (a David Hasselhoff type) whose career is going downhill. One day he unknowingly goes to shower in a place that's scheduled for demolition and winds up trapped under rubble.

I finished watching Spinning Out. It's about an ice skater with bipolar disorder. Looking forward to season 2!

@Christina - I loved Spinning Out! I thought it was actually so good - I wonder when we will get S2, I feel like I watched that ages ago!'

Edited - I googled, it was axed!! smiley

Noooo, really? That's too bad.

Has anyone seen "The Mitchell's vs The Machines" on Netflix yet? One of the best kids/family movies I've seen yet.

Not yet. It looks good, though.

I finally finished Lucifer last night. Tom Ellis is dreamy. lol

I am watching Trinkets. It's kinda a high school girl kind of a show, but cute.

I didn't watch this on Netflix, but I just binged Big Sky. It's about private detectives in Montana. A definite rollercoaster ride! Lots of twists and turns, ups and downs, and weekly cliffhangers. Looking forward to season 2!

Big Sky was great. I hope there is a third season

Yeah, I was glued to the TV watching Big Sky. I wanted to go to sleep, but I just couldn't; I needed to know what happened next. lol

I have Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, as well as Spectrum Cable. Amazon has better quality videos I believe. But I have to guard the remote because we have a roommate with dementia and she will purchase videos without realizing it. She's upgraded my cable before, now I have a lock on it where I have to call in to get any upgrades.

On Netflix I get all kinds of worldwide movies, I set it up in my preferences. I have Paint Shop Pro 2021 Ultimate & Video Studio 2021 Ultimate, as well as Adobe's Creative Cloud All Apps. I have about 1.7 TB of apps.

(@Patricia Yay, another Paint Shop Pro user. It makes me feel like a rebel. haha)

Even though I've already seen it, I began rewatching Downton Abbey. I simply was in the mood for some good drama, and I love period shows from overseas.

So, it's not Netflix....but we recently signed up for HBO Max....and I'm currently rewatching The Big Bang Theory. Forgot how hard that show makes me laugh.... smiley
