How to Make a Quick Page Work For You
Rachel released these digital scrapbook quick pages a little while ago and I loved them so much I wanted to give them a try. In the process I tried a few things to make the quick pages work for me and my photos.
For this first one the photo I wanted to use was square and the hole in the quick page was rectangular. Also, there's a lot of stuff hanging over the photo spot, and trying to find something that would suit this space exactly seemed a little tricky. So I decided to use a square photo and then layer a subtle paper behind it. There's so much going on in this layout that a little more detail seems just right.
For this quick page my photo fit perfectly, but I did add the tag with the date to personalize it a little and add context for the photo.
For this layout I tried a black and white photo, but it felt a little blah. I often miss the color when a photo is turned black and white, so I added a little color blending over the photo. I choose the soft pink color from the layout and I think it adds the perfect touch to this finished quick page.
Finally for this last one I didn't do anything fancy, just added in my own photos. What a fun finished digital scrapbooking layout.
How do you use quick pages and how do you add your own personal touches?

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

Good ideas. I recently had this same topic in my mind. I'm wondering how difficult it is to recolor items on a quick page or, in the last QP example, if it would be doable to change the white paper with the striped dots (even if it means having to replace the wood heart)? Thanks!
These are very good ideas to use quick pages, I like the results.❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful!
Great Quick pages.
Fantastic Marisa
