Favourite Podcasts and why?

Hi all

What are your favourite podcasts and why?
double points for anyone with scrapbooking ones - I'm right into those at the moment.

I love

-simplescrapper - scrapbook your way
-you're wrong about - have listened to a few episodes (nothing to do with scrap!)
-crime podcasts
-Grounded with Louis Theroux

I've gone through phases with podcasts. Currently I'm mostly listening to audiobooks, but I do love The Popcast with Knox and Jamie (pop culture related).

Yeah, I am in a definite phase IN with podcasts lately, because I have a 30 minute drive to work each day, and it is honestly some peace and quiet to listen to something.
I will check out the pop culture one, that sounds fun!

Let's Grow Pulling, I've been part of the truck & tractor pulling community for 12 years and can relate well.

I used to listen to the Daily Audio Bible a lot - very good

Thanks for all the suggestions, there is so much stuff out there to listen too!

Draftsmen Podcast is my favorite

Another great one with great insights on how to live and work as an artist is 3 Point Perspective.

Oooh thanks Paula, I've not heard of either of them, I'll give them a go!

Is there any good podcasts on digital scrapbooking. To be honest I've never listened to or watched any so I thought I'd try some, but have no clue on where to start.

@jackie - I like simple scrapper which covers everything scrapbooking. Physical, digital, and anything in between!!

My favorite kind of podcast is two people talk about dumb stuff. My two favorite podcasts fall under this category, but I find it's really hard to add a new one because I've been listening to those for so long, my relationship with the hosts is quite built up. Listening to a new podcast is always like, "who are these people?"

But I am looking for another podcast if you know of one that fits my description of two people talk about dumb stuff.

My favorite one (I started listening many years ago with the hubs) is "Car Talk". Brothers Tom and Ray Magliozzi (aka: Click & Clack) Tom died in Nov 2014 due to complications from Alzheimer's. It was originally a radio call in show on like PBS or the like. The were so great... Very smart about all things Automotives. Mechanics who became in very high demand because they knew so much.
The show consists of people calling in with all kinds of problems and range (from women/men relationships to cars to complex issues and noises a vehicle might make and why) The make you laugh and you learn just what the root of a problem with your car is and what to tell your mechanic to actually look at. They even typically have a riddle once or twice a week.
Of course, they are mainly older programs being recast (I imagine) I still learn something or laugh out loud at some of their calls & answers. All around GREAT entertainment even if you don't have 4 brothers like me and like to work on cars with your hubs. smiley

Sounds like a fun one Shawna!

I love podcasts like that too. I have been listening to "you're wrong about" which is like that.

@Jo: I'll check it out!

I have enjoyed it, but a friend of mine who I thought would like it didn't like it at all!!

Hi there! I've been listening to Stacy Julian's podcast called Exactly Enough Time.
And Scott Patterson (Luke Danes from Gilmore Girls) has a new podcast called I AM All In. He started with S1E1 and they talk about each episode. Sometimes he'll have a guest from the GG cast/crew.

My favorite podcasts are Daily Audio Bible Chronological and The Bible Recap. I wanted to do something different for my daily Bible readings this year, so I decided to listen to the reading of God's Word everyday. I have really enjoyed it!

I love the Atlas Obscura podcast - they are short and tell me about interesting places
I also like the 27th hour podcast - the host Junior Hammon has a wide variety of guests from all walks of life and he is real and down to earth

Kaleena!! I love the Atlas Obscura! I got back into digital scrapping by deciding to do an album of all my AO places! (all in the US currently but one can hope smiley )

I really enjoy Stuck in the 80s (dating myself) which is all about 80s pop culture, the music, the movies, the memories! They have been running it for over 600 episodes but they are really fun and interesting.

Also Disgraceland. Disgraceland is a meld of true crime and music, where it is about musicians behaving very badly smiley

I will have to see about adding some scrapping ones to my day. I like to listen to podcasts when I am driving to work.

To be honest i only heard 3 podcast. 2 where given for to use a lunch work walk. 1 Was great the other boring. And 1 ( at least 15 years ago) i heard from some i met in a chatroom. We became friendly and she pointed it out to me. She was so funny in it together with a male. But Podcast dont realy do it right yet for me. But this post is trickering me to try it out on a walk.

This shows u can get new Idea's everywhere.

So thank u Jo for making this post.

True Crime podcasts:

  • Crime Junkie
  • True Crime Garage
  • Moms & Murder
  • The Vanished

I have been a long-time listener of these podcasts and highly recommend.

I'm a huge fan of true crime, so I listen to lots of them. I also enjoy documentaries, especially peoples stories. Also funny/silly podcast that make you laugh like hell. I can't find a good english one so give me some tips if you know any.
Nowadays mostly swedish podcast, but I like "Crime Junkie", "Evidence Locker", "Casefiles", "True Crime Garage", "Crimetown", "Court Junkie", Generation, "International Imfamy", "Generation Why" and many many more (Ppl call me a Tue Crime-nerd/geek. smiley Currently I have "Mommy Doomsday" and "Your Own Backyard" added to my list to listen to soon.

If you wanna know about Nordic/Scandinavian crimes here are a few in english: "True Crime Sweden" (unfortunatly no new episodes in a while, du to healthproblems) but there are some "good" cases. Also I can recommend "True Crime Finland", "Skrim" and "Nordic True Crime" (which has cases from all the nordic/scandinavian countries). Also "What happend to Annie" is a weird one.

Hi all! I am also a fan of the Simple Scrapper podcast https://www.simplescrapper.com/podcast/

And I really like Armchair Expert. I didn't think I'd like hearing Dax Shepard talk that much (LOL) but he gets into really great conversations with both famous people and academics. It's always interesting.
