Can you open an SVG file in Photoshop CS6

I have some SVG files that I am trying to convert into PNG files. Has anyone ever done this or know if it can be done? It looks like it can in Illustrator but I just have photoshop.

I think you should be able to open them up. Just drag them in and see.

Just dragging them in doesn't work so I thought maybe there might be a special way to import them or something.

I found these online.. haven't tried it myself..

I hope this helps!

I didn't even think to look for a converter like that. I will have to check them out, hopefully they will convert to 300dpi.

For me drag and drop it works for opening SVG files in Photoshop. But, the vector image is rasterized.
If drag and drop doesn't work, use online tools that turn SVG to PNG or JPG.
For example I use this CSH to SVG tool to make vector images from custom shapes for my Cricut projects.

The image is also rasterized when I try with Photoshop.

If you don't have Illustrator, you can use inkscape (it's free) and export it as PNG with the size you prefer smiley.
