Hi there Tina...lost a good deal of my life and pictures due to my own ineptitude. It happens and life goes on making new memories. After all the pictures are in your head and your heart . Amanda with respect

Hello everyone.

I've been here about a week or two and thought I'd finally say hello. My name is Becky. I'm a wife to a pilot (former military and now commercial) for almost 20 years, have one very tall teenage son (going on 6' 4" smiley ), and I have two Golden Retrievers and one sassy cat.

I LOVE color. The variety, the moods it creates, the different combinations. I can spend way to much time on Pinterest looking at color pallets getting excited about what could be created with them. I used to traditional scrapbook, but never got into digital because I thought PS was too intimidating (layers scared me!). I'm currently enrolled in an online class to teach me PS and I love it. My mind reels with all the things I can create. I think the quickest was for me to satisfy my color excitement is to make digital paper. I can see several color pallets together in minutes in PS. LOVE IT!!

Hello everyone! I'm a lurker and finally joined up here to contribute to the forum. My name is Jen and my website (https://jconlonandsons formerly Quality DigiScrap Freebies) which I've updated for over 10 years because I LOVE when online digi designers and crafters share their products and tutorials. I hope in some small way I am paying back the community.

Nice to know u all this way. Some are starters like me and others looks already pro. But here we are all there to help eachother. I love that. And even starters can have great suggestions.

For those who have "english" not als native labguage > At least we try smiley .

Hello all, I'm new to the site but not new to digital scrap booking. I haven't scrapped for many years now but I want to get back into it. I have downloaded Photoshop Elements and am going to try my hand at it. I am married to my sweetheart of 21 years and we have 2 fur babies, a cat named Bug and a dog named Rocky. I have 3 grown sons and they all have children so I have plenty to scrap. I live in the center of the US, Kansas City, Missouri.

Hi, Cheryl, nice to have you with us. We have two fur babies too.

Hello Becky, I understand about a reeling mind , sometimes it keeps me awake at night. Nice that you have joined us.

Hi, Jen ....Happy to greet you!

Hi! My name is Jen, and I have been a member for a while, but haven't had the opportunity to say hello! I have been a paper and digital scrapbooker since 2007. I love the flexibility and mess-free workflow of digital. I am a wife, mom, and dog mom, and am always taking pictures of my family and documenting our memories. I am happy to be here!

Thanks everyone for saying hello! It's fun to see so many new faces.

Hello and thanks!

My name is Sharin and I've been a paper scrapbooker since I was about 12. In the early 90s I was introduced to "acid-free" scrapbooking with limited colorways and few options. As the years went by I tried all of the various scrapbooking styles that came along. I found that very few of them suited me.

I was hired by a local scrapbook store to make sample pages to inspire the customers and help push the newest products the store had received from the distributors. I taught a few classes also. Then the store owner passed away and no one bought the business so it closed. That was 2 years ago.

Since then we've downsized and I am still going through old supplies and donating them to various people and organizations. I simply had acquired a store's size inventory over the years!

An old scrapbooking friend and I got to talking one day in a tea shop. She had the same problem as me -- too much stuff! She suggested going digital and I told her I liked the tactile feel of all of the supplies even if I didn't like the bulk in my books.

So now I am ready to explore how to scrap digitally but it is very important that my pages look "real." I need to learn how to apply shadows to the appropriate elements in a realistic way, learn how to make some elements look like they are elevated (pop-dotted) off the page, etc. I guess I need to find a super beginners group and start at square one.

It is just like me to gather a massive amount of supplies on sale or at a discount and stash them thinking that I'll sort through them later. That's partly why I checked out this sight -- the idea of free product!

I hope to learn a lot from you all, maybe just by browsing the gallery!

Hi! My name is Anne, and I have been making digital layouts for some years ago. I wantet to get started again, and searched for a forum where I can get help and inspiration. This looks like a good place, and I am looking forward to get creative here together with you all. smiley

Hi, Sharin, I hope you en joy your visits here!

Hi, Anne You've come to a good place. Create like crazy!

Thank you, Wendy! So far I don't seem to be able to stop browsing! smiley

Hi my name is Jo and I am only just starting on my scrapbooking journey
I am looking around and loving what I am seeing thus far.
Looking forward to seeing what else is on the sight and sharing my creations

Hi, Jo. Jo is my middle name, kind of unusual. Maybe yours is short for something but I am just plain Jo. You've got a lot of fun a head, Welcome.

I am Anastasia. I live north of Seattle in Western Washington. I have been scrapping since 2007. My husband at the time was on deployment, which left me a lot of free time. I had been paper scrapping for a long time but had recently fallen in love with photoshop and digital art. I was surfing the web, looking for brushes and the like to download when I fell into the Digital Scrapbooking rabbit hole. I love it & I've never left!

My favorite elements are flowers & foliage. I think every single one of my pages has a flower on it!

Hi, Anastasia, love the name. Nothing is better that lovely flowers and nature in general!

Thank you so much - Jo is short for Jocelyn.
I'm looking forward to the scrapbooking journey - can't wait for the holidays so I can settle in to a good few hours in front of the computer scrapping

Hi ! My name is Dominique and I live in France. I'm married and have two grown children, Marion (29 years old) and Quentin (25).
I'm 65 and retired. Before I worked as a pharmacist.
I started scrapping about ten years ago, with paper. I was an animator for a company that sells European style scrapbooking equipment for a few years. I ran sales meetings (like Tupperware). Last year I wanted to make an album for a friend of mine who was going to become a grandmother and I didn't find any paper or embellishments that I liked. I searched the web and discovered Pixel.scrapper.
By now, I have two softwares for digital scrapbooking : Studio Scrap (a french software) and The GIMP. All the pretty things I find on this site are wellcome to complete the kits of the first and to create with the second.
Now I'd like to return the favor by sharing what I create.

So many new faces! Thanks everyone for saying hi!

@Sharin: People overthink the shadows. I use only two shadows for everything and just yesterday I got a compliment for my great shadowing. Especially as a beginner, just find a couple shadows that work and start there. I use these shadows from Elif.

HI - My name is Lori. I am 53 and live in WI. I work at a local hospital as an RN in the OB unit. I love my job. I have been married/divorced/remarried. From my first marriage I have 2 children. Megan (32) and Nolan (29). Tory and I have been married for 25 years. From my current (and last) marriage I have 3 children Aubrey (24), Teegan (21) and Charli (5) who we adopted. My kids are my life!!!

I have been paper scrapbooking since about 2002. I went to a Creative Memories party and fell in love with the idea of documenting fun memories through scrapbooking. I didn't use Creative Memories long, but continued to find my likes/dislikes in paper scrapbooking. For about the last 2 years or so, I have been pretty much digitally scrapbooking (which sometimes I feel guilty about because I have so many paper supplies it is crazy) I am finding that the convenience of digitally scrapbooking is trumping everything with paper scrapbooking.

I just joined last week and am very excited about using the tutorials to expand my digital scrapbooking skills. And to also challenge myself to doing different things in Photoshop.

Thanks for the awesome website. Super excited to become part of the group.

Hi! My name is Shannon. I am 50 and live in NE. I have two daughters (30 and 19) and a 2 1/2 year old grandson who is the absolute light of my life! My husband and I have been married for 22 years and he's pretty amazing!

I started scrapbooking when my oldest was maybe a year old, so....29 years? Paper to start, obviously. I did that for eight years or so, pretty consistently. The life got really busy, I had a second baby, and the digital camera bug bit me. After that, I discovered digital scrapbooking and I spent quite quite a few years scrapbooking with Photoshop after the kids were in bed. Then my laptop died a painful death and I never seemed to get my mojo back with subsequent laptops.

Fast forward another 10+ years and here I am again, coming home to an old friend. I don't usually introduce myself but decided to step outside of my comfort zone tonight. I really enjoy the website and am looking forward to exploring the tutorials to advance my skills. And....it will be nice to connect with others who enjoy the same hobby!

Ohhh, thank you so much for steering me in the right direction, Marisa!

Hi Dominique, Sounds like you are ready to go, Have fun!

Hello , Shannon, Thank-you for introducing yourself. I hope you enjoy yourself.

Welcome, Lori, Bet you have alot of pics to use in scraping bet it's hard to keep up with it all and work a job. There certainly is a lot to learn as well.

Hello smiley
I am a retired transitional kindergarten teacher who has very recently discovered scrapbooking and fallen in love with the art. I have always been artistic. I have an art studio that is filled with every type of artistic expression you can imagine. I am also a writer (3 books under my belt). Journaling is an important part of my daily "to-do" list and scrapbooking has allowed me to become very creative with my daily journals (which I have been doing for over 40 years). For me it's like getting to create a new painting every day! I look forward to chatting with fellow members to learn how to improve my budding skills and sharing our artistic projects.
(I am used to clicking and pasting images - you can't do that here so if someone could assist me in how I can post pictures of my pages I'd be ever so grateful).

Merry Christmas from Tennessee!
