January 2022 DC Color Qi: Pick One

Welcome to the January 2022 Color Qi Design Challenge.
Qi as in Chinese, literally: air, breath. power, life.

So we are looking for the essence of Jacques, what you think a color says.

You just pick any of the colors in the above swatch and build yours around it.

You can also just take this swacth.

The challenge here is to either make:

a swatch with your color or

a swatch and a mini (3 papers, 5 elements - for example: journal card, fastener, frame, tag and flower - at least) with your color or

simply some graphics with your color/s.

Beautiful colors! Cant wait!

I used the color palette as is to re-create a kit that I made a long time ago. I will release it on my blog next week. Now available on my blog!

I really like the colors! I may try to make another kit with them as well. We shall see what happens!

smiley @Jennifer Morgan: I love your kit, so vibrant and fun. Thank you for playing along and for sharing your beautiful work.

Thank you Jennifer for share your work. Your Blog is in my Bookmarks.

I couldn't pick one color.....so I picked 5. smiley

Thank you.

So pretty, Tricia! Thanks for playing along.

A little late, but here's my mini along with some solids. You can download them from my blog.

Wow, so pretty, @Jody Smith. No worries about being late, Jody. We keep these challenges open so we can replay if we like. Glad you liked the swatch enough to play along. Love your rainbow flower. Thank you.

Ugh . . . this one was hard. I really loved the bright colors, but my results just seem like such a hodge-podge to me. Maybe I just need help making good previews 'cause this one is utter chaos when I look at it. Win some/Lose some?

Michaela: Ooooooooh, glitters. I do love glitter. These are beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. I am gleefully adding these to my collection of sparkly bling. smiley

Jody: What a nice collection of textured papers. That texture is nice. Really like the print paper you've included, too. Such a fun collection of prints, all different, but they would be so cute used together on a page, too. Pretty flowers . . . especially like the one with rainbow petals. What a fun way to include a lot of colors from your palette. And I adore your idea to put velum under the elements to show them off. That is so effective . . . mind if I borrow that idea in the future? I never thought of doing that and it really looks nice on the preview. Fun kit, Jody. So glad you decided to join in and share. smiley

Tricia: You always pick such fun colors from these palettes to put together. Your layered flowers are very sweet. I really like the distressed textures you've used on the papers. Beautiful choice of scriptures and you did such a nice collage to show it off. Beautiful work, as always. smiley

Sarah: I like your style. It's so exuberant and I can tell you LOVE color and you always show that love off in your designs. "Sing a Rainbow!" What a fun name for your kit. It fits the collection of elements and paper that you've put together for this challenge--perfectly! I really like your use of the rainbow theme and your combination of all these bright, fun colors. Very nice kit. Thanks so much for sharing. You are very talented.

Amanda: I love the colors you chose to use for this challenge. Your mini kit looks like a mini-vacation to somewhere lush and tropical. I can smell the SPF50 as I type. This is such a fun add-on for your "Good Vibes" kit, which is lovely as well. So many exciting summery elements. I especially like your print papers and sentiment strips. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and these delicious kits. You are very generous and I appreciate it.

Jennifer: So girly and bright and blingy and FUN! I love your paper strip flowers and all the cool word art you've included. And what a colorful collection of print papers. They could be used in so many way. I love that. And I really, really, really love your choice of designer names. So unique and it really reflects your sense of fun that I feel from this kit design. I hope to see more of your designs here at Digital Scrapbook. I really like your eclectic style.

thx! Feel free to 'borrow' that preview idea. I 'borrowed' it from someone else myself. lol

Annette - Love the kit and idea!

Oh, bless your kind heart for saying so, Sarah! I so appreciate the encouraging words! smiley
