Redoing Travel Digital Scrapbooking Layouts

I've shared a couple posts of redone layouts (post 1, post 2) and they seem to elicit a lot interest, which I guess makes sense because who doesn't love a good before and after! So I thought I'd go ahead and share a few more.

I'm working through photos and layouts from when Jordan and I backpacked about 10 years ago. I did some digital scrapbooking at the time, but in a lot of cases there were various holes and now I'm not too impressed with my old layouts. So I've been redoing old layouts, as well as adding in new ones. I did not have my very organized system I recently came up with to actually get my layouts uploaded to this site when I made these layouts, but you can see the finished digital scrapbooking travel album here.

A lesson in making the background show the photos as the stars. The flower seller is stunning.

This is great! I find that I have favorite photos and as my style and skills improve and change over the years, so does my database of ever growing digi-scrapping kits!! So more often than not, I find a better suited kit/bundle for my older layouts.

@Claire: The kraft background uses a lot of items from the Good Day Collab. Although
I do tend to pull in a lot of random things when I'm scrapping. I download most of my graphics individually as I go. https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/marisa-lerin/kits/good-day-collaboration-bundle-spring-orange-yellow-green-blue-pink-gr...

it's really lovely to see the change in your style over time. When I look at the first set they look really nice but then the re-done ones are just are on a whole other level and just look very much like they have been done by the same person so your style shines through.

What kits did you use for them, especially the first one with the kraft background and the last but one with the green and pink background.

Love them, thank you for sharing! I have so many I'd like to go back and redo, especially the ones from when I first got started and didn't have decent software.

The redone pages have turned out stunning, so bright and vibrant! Nice!

@Becky: I hadn't really thought of it that way, but a lot of these pages I made before I even had a style, which is probably why I don't like them. They are from early enough in my digital scrapbooking career that I was doing a lot of scraplifting and trying to figure out what I was doing.

It's really inspiring to see how you updated them, especially the pages where the layout was essentially the same but the newer papers and elements give it a fresh look. It's fun to see how your style has changed!
