My previous post about my favorite free digital scrapbooking papers seemed to be enjoyed more than I thought it would, so I thought I'd go ahead and share a few of my other kinds of favorites.
Today I'll share a few of my favorite layout templates. A good digital scrapbooking layout template comes in quite handy when you're having that blank page stare down and need a some help getting started. Generally what I'm looking for in a layout template is a bunch of interesting layers, as I'm lazy and don't feel like creating them. But let's see what I picked out:
This layout template by Elif has been a long favorite of mine. I like it's simplicity, but it's a good start to an interesting cluster.
Unlike most of the layout templates I make, this one actually includes a lot of element layers.
I would never take the time to create a layout with all these interesting background pieces when I'm actually making a layout.
So it's perfect to have all the work done for you before you start.
Similarly, this one by Violet also does a lot of work for you already, although this time with a fun starburst.
The fun tabs in the background of this digital scrapbooking layout template are cool and interesting.
I love a good vertical layout, and this template from Rachel is a great start to that look.
Maybe you'd also like to try a horizontal line on your layout, this one will help you get there.
I don't know that I've actually used this layout template from Sharon-Dewi, but when I was browsing around it caught my eye.
Again, talk about having most of the work done for you, all the circles in this layout template by Gina are a great place to get started.
And finally, I would be lying if I didn't admit that this layout template and the others in this kit are really high among my favorites. Simple, but not that simple.
I hope you find something inspiring here to help you get started with your next layout!

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
