You can make psd or tif files or pdf, png and jpg files for this challenge. If you make pdf files it really is a print file, so gamut becomes an issue. If you offer a png file it is not a print file.

Oh, Lord, this one might be a little out of my realm!
Very cool looking, but, I don't know......

Actually, I went and looked up a template by Marisa, and I think I can do this!
I'll post when done.

Here's what I made (A4 planner size) to be included in my December 2022 Blog Train Submission in PNG format.

Credits:

Elif Sahin: 72250 red glitter ball
Violet Irisovna: 173166 pocket basics overlay frame
Creative Fabrica: classic christmas leaves overlay, poinsettia
Marisa Lerin: gl 19 dec paper xmas 05b template, 65479 woodsman wood tree 3
Design Bundles: snowflakes
Deeezy Dealjumbo: snow
Graphics Fairy: vintage lady with holly

@Lisel Rice. Now, these are great!! A VERY beautiful set. Thanks so much for playing along smiley smiley
I think everyone will be happy to get these with the blog train, Lisel.

Do people really use these??? Wow, even with Marisa's template it seemed to take me forever to get something I liked. This is also DL.
Used:
261537 Notebook Template
210571 Traveler's Notebook
25044 Spiral Notebook
texture = sahindesigns-woodstyles-60073 and ps_elif-sahin_148466_style-no61watercolor
& my Dec 22 blog train & stickers.

Thankfully the simpler one was much easier smiley

Ok, the 3rd uses 216057 by Violet Irisovna

I will eventually upload a kit (maxed out on kit uploads right now):

I like 'em! I love the texture you have on the pages!

Thank you, Bina!

Thanks Lisel. Your Noel paper is my favorite part of your notebooks. I hope it is in your blog train smiley

Dito! Lovely pages, Tricia. Thanks for playing along. smiley I think people like these especially as printables which are actually rather poplular and fun to work with. Hybrid is more common than we might be aware of, it just does not happen in the galleries that much but it sure is out there. Rather popular in Northern Europe, Scandinavia I'd dare say. Hybrid there often materializes in a rather individualist - clean, mostly not gallery curated manner.
I used to hybrid daily for years. Really simple stuff, nothing too artsy or ambitious at all. Mainly memory keeping with a bit of color. These little journal books make it easy to print and glue printed pages which is what I did and then scribbled and watercolored maybe a little. The element print approach as in sheets is a bit different but still also needs constant energy, paper and cartridge supply smiley

@Bina, So are the notebook pages more useful without the spiral binding? Then make a pdf to print easily?

@Tricia: I think they are useful with and without spine whether thread or spiral. The spines look cute when they are printed. smiley

Yes, Tricia, it will be! Thank you! It's using a paper template by Marisa.

Hi all!
I thought I'll give this a try...all done in Powerpoint...since I'm not uploading it to the Commons, I've not used PS for gamut, or anything else. All different sizes. But if it turns out ok, I'll resize, etc in PS before uploading to the Commons.

I didn't add any details to the page or decorate it as I was in a hurry to post here as I saw this challenge today only...& no matter what I try, a little bit of coding always escapes... smiley
The spiral binding is from etsy...

@Chitra David: Welocme, Chitra! So lovely of you to come and join in on our Tied DC. Thank you so much for playing along. And such pretty contributions, but please let us know what kind of format this is.

If you call your kit a digital kit I don't see why you should be concerned about gamut at all.

Gamut refers to printing only. It is not relevant at all with graphics that are not designed for printing, like digital kits. If you make a print kit then things are different and you do want to consider gamut issues which is not easy because gamut always refers to a single printer setting. Every single printer on the market has a different gamut setting, so talking about out of gamut only makes sense when mentioning the printer as well. There is no such thing as 'gamut' without a printer mentioned. smiley

Powerpoint is pretty awsome.

I'm fully aware that gamut is not an issue for digital kits or items smiley , I mentioned it only because if I were to upload it to the commons, one issue for QC -ing which Commons members are expected to carry out is checking for gamut issue.

Can you be a little more clear about the format? I create junk journal pages for my own use, which then I print & cut , then make my journals, stitching the pages together, so making sure that the colours are ok before printing is important for that, but otherwise not, I suppose. When I read the challenge as notebook, I thought I'll create something which I'm familiar with. That's all!

I create two or three different sizes, according to my need & mood, there is no strict rules as such which I follow...it's mainly 8.3x11. ... roughly (A4 size), landscape.

Generally, traveler's nbs are somewhat narrower & taller than regular sized nbs, so when creating a traveler's nb, size adjustments have to be made or pages specific to that size has to be created.

Format is confusing , yes, what the app offers you in terms of page dimensions but then there are sizes like 'passport' 'erin c' and what not. Picking a large size like you did, ups chances to cover a maximum of formats. Some TGL bundles have a landscape size 8x10" paper set which I always thought is an incredibly smart format for all sorts of crafts and hybrid projects inlcuding notebooks. smiley

So what are the standard printer settings for the Commons gamut check?
I dl'ed your nb , the green smiley one and I think this is one great topic , I love the different themes you cover. This swatch has soo much to offer. It is really great for every month of the year just like the August 2022 swatch was. December is Christmas heavy smiley and it is great to see other, non wintery themes coming to life with these colors.

Is there a setting in the printer for gamut checking? I didn't know! I check the gamut on my PS & print directly from my computer - that's what I've been doing all these years. The digitals come out OK.
I don't use planners, their formatting doesn't appeal to me...maybe all that tiny writing & tiny pictures! & won't use them...but I know there are many who do, so that's OK. I have a ton of digital stuff (JJ) from Etsy, both portrait & landscape sizes, & create either type as the mood takes me, mostly for friends & family, but there are quite a few I've abandoned half-way through because I got bored!!!
Anyway, I've blabbered on quite a bit (out of point!!)...

Haha, Chitra. Not at all off point. I think the issue of size is quite important, I have recently discovered A5 which spreads to A4 and goes really well with the aforementioned 10x8 format.

December Daily much? Here is a weekly approach to the dailies.
You can use this with an evergreen on my blog. The 6x8 Album Maker. You can use them together if you are willing to resize and twiddle a bit. I will most likely ul the rest of the month before too long smiley
I used the following DS assets: 137024, 137034 by Janet Kemp. 329420 by Marisa Lerin. 77250 by Violet Irisovna.

Credits as above only change is Janet Kemp 137030 and Violet's next number in that particular set.

Chitra, I love your pages here!
So beautiful!
I especially love the second one down with the scroll clasps!
So gorgeous!

@Lisel - Thank you! smiley

You all seem to be having so much fun with this challenge, that I just had to dive in as well. I have nary a clue what I am doing, but I am doing something! smiley I snagged Marisa's Traveler's notebook templates #210571 and #215072, so I assume those are an acceptable size, although I am not sure what the correct terminology for that size is for sure. I also snagged a couple of template kits for help decorating. Items #228779 (four pictures) and #229157 (tag and flower.) The open notebook is from Janet Kemp and is item #25044. Again, I just assume it is a size someone would want since it was in the downloads as a notebook.

I will share them in the Commons when I find a minute to upload them. Uploaded! smiley

@Annette Marie: I will sure be using these! Absolutely down my alley, love them, all 4 of them. Many thanks for playing along and sharing smiley

I am so happy you like them and would consider using them, Bina. YAY! I really enjoyed this challenge. Love trying new stuff . . . even if I am not completely sure what the heck I am doing. smiley Next up on my agenda is trying to make sticker sheets! Thank you for the fun challenges! smiley

Yes, Ma'am, LOVE that winter scene one! The others are great, too, but I love all things winter.

Thanks so much for the heart-warming comment, Lisel. I appreciate it. The winter one is my favorite too. Nothing better than thinking about it being cold and snowy outside when you are inside all snuggly and warm, right? I love summer, too, but I am really looking forward to the quietness of winter and its stark beauty.
