Does Anyone in Here Do Bible Journaling?

I was in a different thread and saw that a fellow scrapbooker does Bible Journaling. If you do, would you care to share pages?

I'll go first...

This was for Jonah and the Whale. I know a lot of people who do Bible journaling use real expensive pencils (Prisma) I prefer Prang. I do occasionally use Derwent watercolor pencils, but usually when I do watercolor I prefer just good old fashioned Crayola kits.

Okay, who's next?
You're it!

Looks so great! We have a Scripture LC here that welcomes any layouts including bible journaling pages.

To be honest i never heard of this.

I hope his is not in a real bible? How do this work? What u do?

Yes, it is a "real" Bible. I use my journaling Bible specifically for art. It's not my study Bible. The purpose is that the art you are working on is a meditation on that verse. Your art expression is your gift back to God. This is not sacrilegious.

Thanks for the link smiley

Lovely!!!

Hey Debbie. I did not implay that it would be sacrilegious.

I am just vere keen on books lol. Even when ther is just a rimple in it I want a new one.
I just asked because of the digital world all looks so real.

I think as long u dont heart people u can express anyway u like. smiley

I LOVE Bible journaling! I have 2 of them. I want to start digital bible journaling! smiley

I have never tried Bible journaling. I do take notes in the margins, and I underline. I think I'd want a separate Bible if I were going to try this. It intimidates me a little! My daughter has a journaling Bible with very wide margins, and she'll sometimes draw something along with her reflections.

I've been considering some sort of digital bible journaling, I'm getting into digital planning, so it seems like a good next step. But I haven't done anything about it yet smiley

That is a gorgeous page. I have done some Bible journaling, and definitely want to try with digital. I think I will select a verse and do a page for it. Ali x

So…I am intrigued…how would one digital bible journal? Do tell!

@Stephanie: I would theoretically do in in the Goodnotes app on my iPad. You can import PDFs and write on them. So you just need some sort of bible in PDF and then you're ready to start.

This is an interesting idea! I'll try!

I enjoy Bible journaling! I ordered a large loose-leaf bible in a ring binder for my journaling. I can print designs and notes and add them to the bible pages.

I bought a beautiful bible with wide margins and scripture panels to color and reflect on. Unfortunately it was made for younger eyes than mine... smiley

Hi Stephanie, you can look for a digital bible online for download, and Amazon has them for free also. When you use a digital pdf bible you can usually increase the font and margins.
I usually find my scripture, copy/paste it onto the page I want to create.
Have fun! Diane

Hi Debbie,

beautiful, Debbie. Why should there only be Bibles with professional pictures? After all, our creativity is also from God. My Bible is also colorful but only through colored marker pens and cross-referenced. There is no space for drawing in it.

I have, in addition to a new binding, new note pages in my study Bible to write important new statements of God. There I decorate however only the separations with hand-drawn vignettes.

But my PDFs on my tablet of the divine new revelations (over the last 200 years), I provide with symbols and small drawings next to the cross references to Bible passages. But they can also be easily deleted if the line goes wrong. So I find afterwards certain passages again to remember them, copy and paste for comments in YT or mails.

Robin Sampson has a blog about bible journaling

Have joy and fun with your bibeljournaling and be blessed smiley

I have never had a Bible diary. But I really like that idea. I have a personal journal where I write down all my thoughts, life events, and things that bother me. I am a person who believes deeply in God. Since childhood, I was taught to go to church every Sunday, pray before bed, and honor church holidays. I try to live according to biblical laws. The best gift for me is the health and well-being of my loved ones. I pray every morning and evening and thank God for everything I have. When I cannot attend a service at church, I pray with everyone present via video at https://firstchurchlove.com. God is my everything.

I don't do Bible Journaling per se, but I do a Scripture Journal. Where I put a Scripture that has spoken to me in some way, then decorate around it.

Sorry only just seen this. Life got a bit busy and I am about to be grandma for the first time.
I am in the process designing a bible journal/ planner /etc in power point so I can import into goodnotes. It is so longwinded but fun
this is what I have so far but its all linked etc

I did Bible Journaling in the past but gave my bible journal to my Daughter in Law she loved and admired it. It made me happy to share it with her. She has added to it. I would like to start one again it was so inspiring!

Thanks! I didn't know you can download free Bible verses.
