April 2023 Design Challenge Letter G

Welcome and thanks for joining in.

This kit uses assets by Elif Sahin, Marisa Lerin, Janet Kemp, Jessica Dunn, Brooke Gazarek.

The challenge is to make some

graphics
or papers
or a pattern
or a mini (2 papers, 5 ellies minimum),
and/or a swatch that uses at least one of the colors of the sample swatch.

You can also use the sample swatch if you like.
You can additionally challenge yourself to include these items in your creation

something with gold
something with a grid
something with glitter
something related to gardening or gardens (like a flower, leaf or a branch)
something related to a game or gaming (any meaning of game: sports, board, playstation, hunting, deer etc)

Feel free to use any digitalscrapbook.com assets.

The color hex codes are for apps that manage colors like Adobe PSE or Microsoft Office.

There is a collection of palettes here and please look at this One of Marisa's goodies.

See this here one by Marisa on making swatches from photos, awesome thread that is.

See this great post by Robyn Denton on colors.

Check this on pinterest by Kaleena Farmer.

Robyn Denton has so many great tips and here is one for everyone who wants to check gamut but doesn't have PS.

Here's how to recolor a PNG overlay. Here's how to recolor a gray scale item. Elif also has an action here for recoloring grayscale items.

Hey, Bina. You accidentally did #f8cbe2 twice. The last color is missing.

smiley TY, Christina! I had forgotten all about it ....

Thank you for fixing the hex code, Bina. I think I'm going to stay with your palette, which is quite soft and lovely, and add gold to it.

That sounds great, Christina. I remember that I was thinking of some silver tones with the glitter that I ended up not including..... smiley

great colors )))) love it !!! thanks so much Bina !!!

You're welcome, Biche. smiley

Thanks Bina. Got to put my thinking cap on and see what I can do & learn.

I thought of a theme and a kit name where I can work in all of the G's (gold, grid, garden, game). I have a feeling this will end up becoming a pretty big kit. LOL I'm going to start working on it today.

Oh that is soo good! I'm really happy you like the colors. Looking forward to your creations. smiley

I have a mini kit for the challenge. smiley Click on image to go to my blog.

Wow, so pretty, Cintia! Such a sweet kit! smiley I love the lil veggie stickers and cards, everything is really cute. Thanks so much for playing along and sharing on your blog where I was going to leave a comment but it didn't work out.

Oh, that's so cute and sweet, Cintia! Thank you very much!

Thank you Bina and Cristina. Your kit is so cute and sweet! But I had already started working on this when you gave us the gardening theme so...

About the comments section: I dare not to open the comments because of the sort of things I was finding when I logged in. Thank's God nobody else had to see them since the comments where moderated.
But I am completely happy to see people downloading and having fun with what I create. I know you are all adorable! smiley

Here is the start of my kit.
Between looking after my new grandson, loadshedding & packing, there is not much computer time, so I will complete this kit slowly slowly.
Updated my preview with a few more elements. Loaded them into the commons already.

Oh Gail. Thank you for joining in despite all these circumstances.

Congratulations on your grandson! How wonderful smiley

These textures look really a m a z i n g and I love your marble paper. Such a beautiful gardening kit.

That's coming out super cute, Gail! And congrats on the new grandbaby!

I'm still working on my kit. I've got the papers done and have 9 elements done, but there are others I want to create that are a bit more difficult. My first attempts didn't turn out so great, so I'm reworking them.

Thanks Bina & Christina.
I also have a lot that I want to add, but time doesn't want to play with me, but I will get there. LOL.

I've been trying to make fairies, but they're not coming out too good. I'm fine with the wings, but I have to give up trying to make a "human" body and face. LOL I have fairy outlines in my stash, so I'm just going to use one of them instead. I'm toying around with fairy dust (glittery stars) included in a paint element or a big swoosh of fairy dust to satisfy the "heavenly" prompt.
