Grateful for this place

I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm so grateful for this place in the digiscrap community. I used to be an avid digiscrapper over a decade ago. I did tons of pages and was involved in the community on several sites. Also, I was on several design teams. But then.... life. Specifically, divorce, single parenting 4 kids, 1 with special needs. Time got away from me. My laptop crashed. My creativity dried up due to stress and fatigue. But then my first grandbaby arrived recently and I went to visit him in Seattle. I couldn't let all of those pictures of him just linger on my phone. It felt like a chance to get a fresh start. A mulligan, to use a golf term and my last name. A do over.

I really didn't know where to start and have no idea how I found this site, except by divine providence. It started with the free downloads which I couldn't believe were actually free! Then the $1 introductory kit. I picked the Good Life Bundle because of the travel theme and having just returned from Seattle.

Little by little, a new daily habit of scrapbooking developed. All thanks to this site. The tutorials to refresh my memory. The newsletter and emails. The free downloads and amazing affordable kits. The friendly community.

I am grateful for this place. Thanks for being part of this next chapter of scrapbooking. I appreciate it.

Oh, by the way, I'm Jeannette Mulligan. lol I'm from Baltimore, Maryland in the USA but live in southwest Louisiana due to a military move. I like to say that I'm a Yankee city girl transplanted into the bayou. smiley I only have one of the four children still at home. He'll likely be with me for a long time as he is autistic with a rare genetic disorder. I have a lot of scrapbooking to catch up on. Thanks for welcoming me into this community. smiley

Hello Jeannette! Nice to meet you smiley

Hi! smiley

Hello Jeannette, welcome.

Yes, I felt the same way. I participated in various German scrap forums from 2005-2013, but then Jesus had something else in mind for me. That's exactly when I crashed my entire collected graphics on an ext. Drive. But then I started again here in 2021 (there are hardly any German scrap forums anymore) and built up a stock again and am learning new things. So let's have some scrapping fun together.

I lost a lot of my graphics, too. I want to leave scrapbooking pages as part of a legacy for my kids. God is helping me with that. I have ADHD. Sometimes, it's difficult to get organized but establishing a routine of getting on here in the morning with my coffee has helped tremendously. I've done 20 pages in just a few days and it feels good to have that accomplishment.

Yes Jeanette,

everyone has his cross to bear somewhere. I just had two eye surgeries because of cataract. Last I could only scrape with a magnifying glass. But now, thanks to Jesus, I can see again wonderfully and am also happy to stop by here every morning and be inspired. Yes, it is good today, so easy to build a family chronicle with scrapbooking. I regret not having more photos from my and my siblings childhood. Cameras and film were expensive for a large family back then.

Hava nice and creativ weekend smiley

Thanks for the stories!
