I've been wanting to celebrate all the years of blog trains we've done here at DigitalScrapbook.com, but I've been struggling with the timing of everything. But the other day I thought, let's just do it and let's do a Homecoming! I want to get as many contributors to past blog trains as I can to take part in this September 2024 blog train. So if you've ever joined us in the past, please consider making at least a small contribution to this blog train. I want to see as many old friends as possible taking part in this. And if you haven't joined us before, now will be a great time to jump in. I'm hoping to plan a few other fun Homecoming events in September for the community, but since I had already posted this blog train thread, I wanted to update it with this excitement.
If you have any questions about joining us please leave them below. And share your progress as you work on it.
If you need any help hosting your blog train contribution, please email your zipped kit to [email protected] and we can host it for you.
You don't need to have a blog to participate! Feel free to post your download link here in the forums in the final list sign up thread (posted just before the beginning of the month)
Please read the new guidelines before finishing your contribution.

Oh love this colors!
ACO File
Awesome colors! Thank you.
Marisa: Oh my gosh, this is such a great idea! I'd love to see a bunch of people come back for this! I really hope they do... The color palette is super fun.
Elizabeth: Thanks for ACO.
That’s such a fun idea, Marisa! I haven’t been working on the designing much over the past several months since I’d been busy with the kids’ school and just trying to keep up on my album, but since we’re on summer break, I can see if I get inspired to make something for this one.
Such a fun color palette - I love this idea!
Becky, I'm happy you're going to try to make time for this!
Will try to do this one
I'm not nearly as talented as you, but I'll try to participate. It's a great idea and happy birthday to BT !
I'm going to try to get something done.
Are there any suggested themes for this one? Is Homecoming a theme that I'm not really grasping? Just wanting to clarify because that seems to help me get started.
Yeah, I really don't get the Homecoming theme too much, either. When I hear "homecoming," I think of high school dances and events. lol I was thinking of doing a scrapbooking creativity/inspirational theme (at least with word art and the like).
In addition to Christina's ideas, here's a few spinoff ideas I thought of for Homecoming: anything home related, coming home from traveling, Home Sweet Home, reunions (of any nature), moving into a new home, visiting your childhood home or hometown, family & friends visiting.
The first definition is just "a return home " so that can even mean attending an event or getting together with a group of people you feel at home with.
Good theme Jessica!
I kind of like the Home Sweet Home idea. Now I am torn between my idea and that one. Thanks! lol
Thanks for the expansion on the ideas! Lots of great ones!
The Homecoming is really more to get people involved in the blog train and less about theme for the actual blog train. Although Jessica has some good ideas!
my part
My title is "Retour à la maison" (Homecoming) in my blog 1 September
and my add on : in my blog and here in commons too !
I love these colors. Hopefully my surgery will be done soon and I can make something. It has been a long time since I created and sold kits.
This looks awesome! I can't wait to see how it goes. Count me in, of course!
This is a good idea, I will be participating
I just read the email Marisa sent out about this blog train. I really do hope her sweet email brings back a lot of people, even if it's just a one time thing. It would be fantastic if it turned out having the most participants ever in scrapbooking blog train history.
Hi all, hi Marisa!
I was pleasantly surprised to receive the invitation to the blogtrain.
Right in the month of August I am moving house and city so it will be difficult for me to make a complete kit.
My question is if I can participate simply with a CU item pack.
Or some papers?
I would love to be able to do more but next week I start packing all my things for the move and I won't have much extra time.
I just saw your email and I absolutely love this idea and I love this color palette! I really hope I can brush off my rusty scrapbook design skills and make something to contribute. I know I participated in one of the very first Pixel Scrapper blog trains (the beach-themed one?) and of course many others over the years.
EDIT: I checked and my first Pixel Scrapper blog train was "Retro Kitchen" in February 2013!!
This is great! I love the colors, so I'm really tempted to join in!
And thank you for reaching out by email, otherwise I would have missed it!
Oh, I'm so excited to see some "originals" commenting here!
Marisa, such a great idea, and I'm so glad you emailed everyone!
What a great idea! I haven’t made a kit, or participated in a blog train, for a looong time. Count me in!
So glad to see some old faces coming back! I'm really looking forward to this
@Diry: Make whatever you have time for. It certainly doesn't need to be a large kit by any means.
Thank so much, Marisa!
I would love to contribute. I could make a couple fun templates.
