Share a matchy matchy layout

Perhaps one of my scrapbooking idiosyncracies is that I don't often match the photo I'm scrapping to the kit. Usually I will just pick out the kit I want to use and pick out the photo I want to use and hope it comes together. But every once in a while things come together in a very complimentary way.

Share a layout below where the kit really complements the photo.

I flip flop.

When I started this layout I knew Fieldnotes #3 Bundle would match my granddaughter's dresses and the fun colors would match their silliness. .

First, I'd like to say that I like these "share a layout for this theme" threads you've been putting up lately, Marisa!

I do regularly try to pick up on the photo colors or theme with what kit I use, at least on pages that are not my weekly miscellaneous spreads. It looks like most of my most matchy layouts are ones that were for various challenges here, like the Scraplifts, using a mix of multiple kits. But for a single-kit layout, I think this Christmas layout from a few years ago worked rather well.

I guess I am the complete opposite Marisa lol! I used to buy Gymboree clothes so my littles would be all "matchy matchy".

I have many layouts of photos coordinating with kits, but here is just one example.

The butterflies and even the use of the glitter were inspired from the photo since her dress had glitter on it. smiley

This did come together nicely. I like the photoless frames too with maybe just a little element. I have even switched my photo to b/w if I really want to use it with a certain kit. Where there is a will, there's a way. smiley

Great layouts!

@Becky: If you have ideas for future topics, let me know!

I changed some of the kit colors to match Micah's dress.

wunderschön,passt alles zusmmen

When I saw this kit from ninigoesdigi called Ceramic Chronicles I knew immediately which photos I would use... and it all worked so well together

Lovely pages, here, ladies. smiley I guess I pick the photos and then find something to add to them .... usually I have the photos and text placed before I add anything except a working bg which is mostly tan or off white. Oh and I often start by just placing a photo card on a bg.

I'm all about the matchy matchy method, lol... I usually choose a kit that goes with my photos. I like including themed elements on my pages, like this one is about my son's first airplane flight so I chose a travel themed kit with a lot of airplane elements. There was even a wordart that says "First Flight"... perfect!

I was searching the other day for an awesome make-up kit for my cat eye page. When I saw this kit from Espy pop up I knew I had to create a matchy matchy page.

Love it!

I can't even imagine making a layout where the photo and the kit don't match!
