The inspiration of this layout is the camping theme created by Robin Sampson; in a world in crisis, panic, fear, anger and sorrow, what better theme than one of tranquility, in the open, in God's creation, to be reminded of His love and compassion. Today is tough. Today our community is in shock, sorrow; a family is suffering terribly. A young man, a friend, neighbor, was killed in an automobile wreck yesterday afternoon. Our children went to school with him. He was the basketball and baseball coach for our high school - for our grandchildren here. His mother is a dear friend. How does this compute with God's promises? My heart is suffering for this family. My soul groans. It is the 3rd such incident in this family. and yet GOD. Yes. God. I do not understand - it is not mine to understand. It is mine to trust; to know God has a plan; He will turn the ashes into beauty some way. Mine is to "Be still and KNOW that He is God." I close my eyes before Him. I visualize the tranquility of the camper scene. Nature. Quiet. Peaceful. Beautiful. And there is God.
