Hello Simone,

welcome here and have much fun and inspiration.

Don't worry about communication, there are now good translations integrated directly into the browser, e.g. B. Firefox.

"deepl" is good too. I'm not good at English either Conversation in real life. I understand a lot when I read, but I couldn't speak or write it fluently either.
I look forward to your contributions.

Hello, bonjour, anyeong haseyo, merry meet, and gooie dag!

My name is Judith and I'm an autistic, bardic, creative, designer, ex-ESL instructor. Canadian passport, Dutch/Celtic ancestry, living in South Korea most of my married life. Currently in university housing on the East Coast of South Korea; small living quarters is why I shifted from traditional scrapbooking to digital a long time ago and have never regretted it. Retired for health reasons, homeschooling a teen, butler to two cats, and lay sister of Belle Coeur. I've worked with images for many years, both in personal digital art journaling, in oracle card design, and as a graphic artist - surprisingly, I'm new to the idea of making my own elements, but I'm hoping to join the Commons and start contributing to the wonderful free items I have been able to discover here.

Welcome Judith! I actually learned to digital scrapbook in Korea. I lived in the small town of Gunsan for two years teaching English in a public middle school. I loved living in Korea and still miss it!

Hello Scrappers smiley

Joy here - I'm a 45 yo delighted singleton living in Wiltshire, UK.

My career as a Designer + also a TEFL instructor ( the travelling bug used to be strong in this one ) allowed me to enjoy seeing so much of the world before circling back to Europe in 2015 first then back home to England in 2019.

I've been on the Digital bandwagon for art journalling my thoughts/ moods more than photo scrapping since recent health issues made traditional art too wobbly for me to enjoy.

Now thanks to my iPad I have a whole new sandbox to explore my creativity whenever I have a spare spoon ( energy ).

I'm particularly fond of playing around with letters & using colour ( my fave is red ) to make layouts that look like they want to come off the page.

I can't wait to share them with you when I rack up enough points.

Sending you all hugs until then smiley

Joy x

Hi everyone. Hope all is doing well and happy to be here.

Thanks for saying hi Joy and Kiara, we’re so glad to have you here.

Hi, Joy! So a fellow spoonie as well as a fellow ex-language teacher, graphic designer, AND art journaller? Can't wait to see your layouts, too!

Hi! I'm Juli. I am a digital scrapbooker and just started designing backgrounds for myself and my friends to use in their scrapbooks. I have been a member of DS for a few years but have never done the hello!

Thanks for saying hi Juli!

Hi my name is Teresa, I am a self-taught graphic designer. I don't do digital scrapbooking but do graphic designing using Photoshop Elements for a small online business owner that sells paper crafting supplies. I am hoping to increase my knowledge base by participating in the site and some of the challenges. Personally, I am a retired educator of 17+ years, a grandmother of 9 with my very first great-grandchild on the way! Oh I cannot wait for that!

I would love to know where to find how to do some of the necessary things to upload images and participate in the challenges.

Thanks so much,

Welcome Teresa! You can apply for gallery access here is you're interested in sharing layouts. If you want to be creating your own graphics, you can check out the Commons.

mi nombre es Sonia y soy de España!!!
Nunca había trabajado en digital, no se como llegué a tu página y estoy haciendo cosas en scrap mixto, probaré en digital que tal se me da.
Mil gracias por todos los diseños !!

Welcome Sonia!

Muchas gracias

My name is LaDeana. I've "lurked" here for a number of years am taking the plunge into becoming a part of this community. I'm hoping to take part in some of the challenges here to try to get my scrapping mojo back.

Welcome LaDeana! Thanks for saying hi.

I'm back! I really like digital image processing. I use a smartphone as a camera. These days these cameras beat the cheaper digital slr cameras, don't they smiley now that I'm retired there's a lot of time to walk in nature and take pictures. I don't have pets anymore, but my friends do and I use them when I want to change up my shots smiley.

Welcome Pirkko!

Hello all - I've been digital scrapbooking for a few years. I still feel like a beginner, but I've continued to love it. I like the idea of belonging to a community where we inspire and teach each other.

Hi - I'm Bev and I live in Victoria in the land of meat pies, kangaroos, Holden cars & Aussie Rules football.

I have 2 adult girls who flew the nest 30 years ago. While they were home we had an active & busy life with netball, basketball, little athletics, tennis & sailing. We toured around the state for tournaments and regattas. We have now reached the grey nomad stage of life and for the last 10 years have travelled lots of places in all states and territories in Australia. We did our 'big lap' in 2021 dodging covid all the way round. We have now sold the caravan & downsized to doing 2-3 week trips.

I started scrapbooking in 2000 with an album for my eldest daughter and decided to put a 4 generation photo family tree at the start of the album and needed photos from mum. When I asked who the people in the photos were I couldn't get my head around that so started drawing up family charts to work out where everyone fitted. Then I got side tracked scanning all my photos & mum's photos which included my grandparents photos that mum & dad had inherited. And as they say, the rest is history... I never did get back to my daughter's album.

So, now my life is scrapbooking & family history. I run a Genealogy Research Group, aka GRG, every Thursday from Feb-Nov at the local library. I am also the treasurer & research officer for the local family history group.

I'm not into fussy, elaborate embellished pages & struggled creating pages until about 2008 when I discovered the European style of scrapbooking & haven't looked back. I use Lea France stencils & am a member of the Lea France Academy with 4 virtual crops a month, although with the time difference I can only attend 2.

I started digital scrapbooking with Artisan in May 2020 & a fellow member of the Academy told me about Jess Dunn's genealogy kit & in June 2020 I became a subscriber. Thank you to all the designers here... you are all amazing and so talented!

When doing paper pages, I'd be lucky to finish a page a day... doing digital pages I can do 10 or more a day. This year I have finished 500+ pages & everyone of them made with a different stencil. This was a challenge in the Lea France Facebook group to use every stencil you owned before re-using any. I'm afraid I failed... I haven't used them all yet!

Lea France don't make digital stencil any more, but their stencil are still available at as well as the stencils Hilde makes. They are in both Artisan & PSE formats. I am a member of Hilde's design team. I also make my own stencils.

I think I'm addicted to digital scrapbooking smiley

Hi Bev, I am Kamala and live in Qld. I joined this site recently. I enjoyed reading your post and I had not heard of European style scrapbooking or Lea France stencils. Gave me something new to learn about smiley Although they look too fancy for me to use. I use My Memories software for scrapbooking. I don't do too many elaborate pages either as I take too long to choose papers and embellishments and I want to fit as many photos onto my pages with the odd 1 or 2 photo pages.

Thanks for saying hello!

Greetings All! After a long break from memory keeping due to depression, I'm ready to get back into it through digital scrapbooking with a little hybrid now and then. I'm primarily interested in designing my own kits to personalize my layouts. I have Adobe CC and will make most of my video tutorials using Canva to try and encourage more people to engage in creative play through memory keeping without the barrier of expensive software subscriptions. I look forward to learning from and being inspired by the designers and members of this community.

Welcome Amy! So glad to have you here.

Hi everyone! My name is Mags I live in New Jersey. I love scrapbooking and have been working with PSP for 20+ years. I just started making kits and found this place from a friend. I try to come here as often as possible but life is busy and I work a full-time job. With all this said, I do enjoy coming here and seeing all the good elements available. Blessings to all in this New Year 2024. xoxo

Welcome Mags!

Good morning! My name is Cindy & I have been in the background for a while here so I finally got the courage to introduce myself. I suffer from anxiety so this is a big step for me. I am a mom of 3 & just started the empty nest syndrome. I always loved art and crafts. Over the last 2yrs, I discovered Junk journaling & digital designing. So, I jumped into teaching myself Photoshop & graphic design. I have come a long way, especially after finding you guys. I have learned tons & hope to continue to learn & improve.
