Designer Challenge: Grateful - collab

For this challenge, I am providing a theme "Grateful" and a color palette. Please create a kit (you decide the size) and share it on the commons. Post the kit preview in here so we can see your creations.

Thanks in advance for participating.

Please use this palette for your contribution.

Gorgeous colors, Gina, many thanks for the challenge! Free thru November 2019.

I'm loving the preview Bina. I'll def download it once you have it linked.

Thank you for participating.

This is really great! I like your style. How did you create it so fast? I feel like I spend hours for just one element! Ugh! I have never attempted to make a kit, much less a mini kit... What do you start with first- paper... elements... ?

@Christine,

I might spend hours on one element and then not even use it in a kit. smiley That use to bother me but now I chalk it up to experience because I either learn what works or what doesn't work.

Personally, I don't have a particular order in which I create things. I might create the papers first one time but create elements first the next time. I am driven by mood and feelings so I do whichever I am "feeling" at the moment. Papers are my favorite so I have to force myself to not create more than will be useful.

@Lisel,

I assume you posted something but I cannot see it. Can I help you with something?

I'm working on a contribution but it might be a few days before I get finished.

Thanks so much for the feed back Gina. That was nice to hear! I too love to create papers and I have very limited experience creating elements. So this is all a new adventure for me. Again, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.
Blessings,
Christine

I changed how I put the photos in there, can you see my previews now, Gina? Also, I made an alpha set for this, and I'm wondering if I can post a link here for that instead of loading each individual letter (at least 52 items), since it would take me a year (ok, maybe not THAT long) to post them all in the commons? If not, maybe I won't actually upload them, at least not until I'm level 2 in the commons, lol!

Lisel, maybe for the alpha you can put them all on a single sheet to download instead of individually? Like this alpha by Rachel.

smiley Thank you Christine, so lovely of you......

the upload is not ready and I guess the kit is not really ready until the upload is completed....

I start with the basic papers, then I make the ellies, then maybe more complex papers. I have linked to a basic paper challenge smiley

Thank you, Gina. smiley

Thank you Bina! I don't know if I will ever be able to put a kit together. I am so slow at designing... I think my family would have trouble if I dedicated even more time than I already do to scrapbooking stuff... Maybe I will start with a paper kit- keep it simple. Thanks again.

Trish, that's an awesome idea, and I will try it! Thanks!

@ Lisel, You can post the link to the alpha and/or upload a sheet of alphas. It's totally your choice.

smiley Wow, amazing, Gina! Such a totally substantial collection. Looks beautiful smiley

Sorry, Gina, for this hijack.

smiley Christine: I so hear you. The time factor. Yes. I do. Totally vital.

I have some articles on my blog that are about making a layout in 5 minutes. I have a gallery with albums made of 5 minute pages here. I also have several freebies for exactly that purpose and a write up on my method. The last 2 years or so, ever since I came out with my TN templates, my go to format has defs become TN. Now everything is a total snap.

On the designing being so slow, I can hear you on that too: smiley I can also spend a lot of time on an element and go back and spend some more but it was a challenge and I try to practise Marisa's design challenge to see what I can finish making in one hour. Finished as in made not packaged or uploaded.

Maybe it is worth a thought trying one of the kit template kits here at PS and see how you feel with that? It is a bit like swimming with a noodle.... smiley

Woah, Gina, that's HUGE! And beautiful!

Thank you Gina for the challenge. I'm not allowed to upload entire kit to commons yet but I can do onesies. I'm at my limit now will upload as soon as I can.

This is a very pretty kit Robin. I look forward to seeing it on the commons.

Thank you so much for sharing! smiley
I am still having ul hick ups, it is a bit trying when the ul breaks down at 99% completed for x times in a row. Just here to say I am not forgetting about our collab here, hope to complete the ul soon.

Here is the link, thanks for your patience. smiley
