Palette Gamut Check

If you're in need of help checking your starting palette for gamut issues, feel free to post it here (how to post images in the forums) and someone can give it a look over for you.

Also, keep in mind that all of our old blog train palettes have been gamut checked and are ready to be used should the inspiration strike!

Is there any way to make it so that old palettes come up in the search so that it's easier for us to find them?

I'd like to use this palette for the current mini kit challenge. If someone could check it for me that would be amazing!

Looks ready to go Shannon - I saw no Gamut warning on these colors. Have fun creating with these!

Thank you Sunny smiley

I'm not looking for this one to be gamut-checked: my Photoshop says it already is in gamut. Just posting it so that we can have some pre-checked palettes available here for people to choose from!

@Holly: It might be easier if we created a folder or gallery somewhere of checked palettes? I imagine this thread might end up getting kind of long? We could do a flickr gallery like I have for the blog train palettes, or something else that's easier for people?

I think that is a great idea. A gallery would be nice and quick to access.

Here's an easy tutorial on how to check a palette for gamut issues and how to fix any problem you find in the palette:

LOVE, LOVE LOVE, the idea of posting palettes; I've been meaning to make a similar suggestion, for some time now; however, I think it would be nice, too, if we could also show/see the palettes (attributions) used on uploaded kits, should anyone wish to create their own embellishments or papers to coordinate.... something like, the base color palette used to create this kit/bundle can be seen here(insert link). Then, later maybe, have links to other designs using the same palette.

Can someone check this for me please?

Hi Shannon, my photoshop says it is in gamut.

Thank you

I went looking to see how to check gamut in Affinity software, and found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb8_yxRK7gA

It's a lot of information about what "out of gamut" is (a little overwhelming for me as a newbie!) and also detailed information about how to address it in Affinity Photo.

You can also check for gamut issues in Photopea (online) https://www.photopea.com/. A friend checked items for me in Photoshop, and Photopea compared well.

Thanks Robyn!
