WOW--Tricia . . . you are a misting, marbling BEAST! smiley TWO sets of absolutely gorgeous papers! I am so impressed!

I absolutely love every one of your papers! And I love that you took the misty brushes idea one step further and added such cool textures and designs with them. And I never once thought to use them as an eraser! Now, I am learning from you and I could not be happier about that! I am just so glad you had fun with this technique and made so many lovely papers to share. Thanks so much for that and for your list of resources. It is so cool to see exactly what you used and get ideas for augmenting my designs/stash. smiley

"Thanks so much for the Scraptorial Annette. It is wonderful that you are taking the time to share your knowledge. I very much appreciate you!!" I am absolutely not crying into my coffee again today. Nope. Not at all. THANK YOU! It means the world to me to see this and I just can't articulate how much I appreciate you showing up and being so enthusiastic and sharing all your efforts. I mean, posting these and not having anyone show up to use them wouldn't be any fun at all . . . so thank you and you are very welcome. smiley smiley smiley

Oh, Tricia, you really were inspired by this Scraptorial, weren't you? I love the variety of papers you've created -- great job!

Sarah, thank you for sharing your paper! It's so soft and pretty!

is it Tuesday yet? smiley

smiley I knoooooooow. I am anxious, too. We are gonna be working with word-art! But first I have to figure it out myself and write it up! smiley Thank you so much for all your kind words and enthusiasm for this venture, Robyn. It means so much to me!

I too am looking forward to your next scraptorial smiley
These have been such fun.

I am glad you ladies like my papers smiley Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Annette

Thanks for the super tuts. I am thoroughly enjoying them and having fun. Can't wait to try this on.
Keep up the great work.

So fun Sarah, I love those colors. You found a marble!! smiley

Aiay!!! After seeing all the beautiful, expertly done fabulous papers by Robyn's (pretty pretties), Bina's (Wow!). Tricia's ( simply amazing!) & Sarah's (lovely fall!), I am almost reticent to post mine here... smiley
Annette, this is by following your tutorial, though I dare say I need to do it over & over again to get to getting anywhere as good as those posted above!
Anyway, here is my first attempt at Annette's misty paper tut: using Obsidian Dawn brushes

Robyn, such a pretty paper...I'm in love with this purple & pink combo! Love, love, love it...as well as the others!

@Tricia...blown over by your talent! smiley smiley Such a marvelous set! Kudos!

@Sarah - nice marble papers, Sarah!

Wow, Sarah! Your papers are incredible... so artsy! Well done!

Chitra, never be reluctant to show your work!! This paper is breathtakingly beautiful! Could you please share which brushes you used from the set?

Robyn, my heart started singing a gleeful little tune after reading your words!!! smiley smiley
But I am so ashamed to say that I honestly didn't keep track of which brushes I used, in fact I had to constantly keep telling myself to create a new layer everytime I wanted to change a brush or use a different colour. I remember my eyes glazing over & my mind thinking,"OMG! She's kept track of all she's done! How's that possible???" when I read all your post & Tricia's. Really! Were you making notes as you created? I'm asking seriously...
I just clicked & clicked on any & every brush & colour after remembering to create layers...& this by itself was a lot for my brain to remember. You people have such well organised work procedure & thought processes...mine is just ...just do...as I go along! smiley
But I will try to note down my steps next time & give the details! Hopefully!

Thanks for the gorgeous papers.

Chitra, I've been making kits for some years now, mainly for the Scrap Twist Blog Trains, and I have got into the habit of having a Notepad document open whenever I'm creating, so that I can make accurate Credits files. So, yes, I do make notes when I'm designing! Even if I'm not making a credits file as such, keeping notes means that I can replicate a design if I want to.

smiley smiley

Gail, you are so very welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by and saying such heart-warming words. Don't you know I just live for those?! I will be anxious to see what you create when you have a chance to dive into making Misty Papers. And if we keep chatting here at the Scraptorials, you will have your 50 community points in no time, so you can apply to share at the Commons. I think you will have a lot of fun with that. smiley

Sarah, you lost your marbles . . . I mean, MADE marbled paper! LOL! Forgive my corny Mom Humor; I just couldn't resist. The colors you used are fantastic and I love the way you stacked the marble designs on top of each other for added interest. Snagging! And thank you so much for the link. smiley

Chitra . . . no reticence allowed! And no frowny faces either! smiley The very best thing about this technique is you can not do it wrong, and I can't imagine why you might think your paper isn't perfectly lovely. smiley IT IS! smiley The colors you've chosen to use are so fresh and fun and I love the little bits of sparkles you included. Such a dreamy texture. It makes me think of fairies and magical sparkles and UNICORNS and I love all of those things. I am so very happy you decided to give it a go and had such beautiful results and cast aside any doubts you might have and shared it with us. Thank you. I hope you had fun when it was all said and done, and I hope you use this technique in the future for your designing projects. It's really quite versatile and gets easier the more you practice. Well done, young lady. WELL DONE!

Thanks for the tip, Robyn! Taking notes WHILE I am designing, not trying to remember when I am all done and my brain is tired and I have forgotten at least half of it. Why didn't *I* think of that? smiley

A whole set of Misty Papers! So pretty, Sarah! I am impressed by your industry and misting capabilities. Thanks so much for yet another link to more beautiful papers by you. I have a feeling your Christmas Village Kit is gonna be epic. Snagging again and THANK YOU!

Chitra, you made me smile because I told you guys to make a new layer for each color and each brush, but I had the hardest time trying to remember to do that myself. I am just so anxious to keep stamping away, that making another layer sometimes slips my mind. smiley So glad I am not the only one with this problem. I also wouldn't have a clue what brushes I used if someone asked, other than they were in that Obsidian Dawn set somewhere! I am going to take Robyn's note-taking idea to heart, and start keeping track . . . if I remember. Sometimes The Muses are just too inspired and don't want me to stop even for potty breaks or snacks or a fresh cup of coffee for any reason! smiley

Thank you so much. I'm going for an epic designer madness kit

Tricia, next Tuesday's Scraptorial is in the BOOKS! (Pardon my victory dance, but I just had to celebrate a little bit for actually being done before the day I need to post it. Procrastinate? ME?) smiley The title is "10 Ways to Jazz Up Word Art." Five this upcoming Tuesday and five more the next week. So tickled you all are having fun with these and writing them up has helped me discover some things about PS that are new to me. It really is beneficial to me, too, and that is such a neat perk. I've been using one version of PS or another for almost twenty years, and I am STILL learning new things--that is a very GOOD thing! Okay, back to the PS Salt Mines to work on next week's offering. Wheeeeeeeeee! smiley

Sarah . . . "epic designer madness" is music to my ears! You GO, girlie! I will be very anxious to see what all you come up with for that Christmas kit and to cheerfully snag it for my stash when you release it! SO. MUCH. FUN! smiley

LOL...salt mines. It is always fun to learn new things, and I am glad you are sharing. I wish I'd bought PS while you still could have it without subscribing. Now it is too expensive for just a fun toy for me...though I thought the same thing way back when I started designing...so PSE. smiley smiley

So glad to hear about the upcoming scraptrial! Looking forward to Tuesday!!

Thank you, Annette, for your always lovely words...it honestly brightens up everything! Instantly makes one to think,"yeah, so...OK, my ... effort doesn't seem all that bad". You are a gift to this DS community, Annette! We are all blessed to have a mentor, friend, advocate, et al here on the site. Another thing, you are so much like my friend in real life, Brenda smiley , whose mind set and attitude is like yours, always encouraging & uplifting others...no matter how bad things may be... smiley smiley smiley
