I really like your palette choice.

I love playing with words and doing graphic word design. smiley

Be strong Lisel and you and your family are in my prayers.

You are one of the most positive people on DS that I know, Lisel...and for something this dreadful to happen to you (your beloved hubby) is both terrifying & hard to accept. Know that you & your family are in our prayers and well-wishes. We are always here for you...to lend a supportive shoulder and embrace you should you feel the need to scream and shout and wail. Please do so, lean on us, don't try to be strong all on your own, ...God bless you and give you strength and fortitude during the coming days, weeks and months. smiley smiley smiley smiley

Oh no! smiley smiley smiley So, so sad smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley (all teared up here) You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and I'm sure in everyone else's lucky enough smiley to meet you here. smiley smiley , sending you much love and the biggest hug you need anytime... hoping it will get to you with the wonderful people being there in person for your sweet self. smiley smiley smiley

Lisel--my dear, sweet, talented friend--I usually am able to string words together like it is my job, but you have rendered me almost-speechless. I was last night when I read this. I had to have a good cry about the unfairness of something so devastating happening to you and your family and take some time to digest this news before responding, and my apologies for that. It's just so sad and so horrible. I know you said you weren't looking for sympathy, and I respect that, but I have to tell you how very sorry I am that this happening to your husband and you and your son. smiley

I am sure any spot of normalcy you can find, as you go through this, will be very important to you and being creative can be so cathartic, and and positive, and joyful, so yes--do join in whenever you can find some time for yourself and your art. We are here for you in whatever way you need us to be. Please feel free to keep us updated, if that will help you, but if you just want to get away from it all for a few minutes when you are here with us, that is perfectly fine, too.

Putting all the rest of this aside, I am thrilled you are here and want to make pretty things to share with us. I hope it helps you deal with all of this at least a teeny, tiny bit. Scrap therapy! smiley It's definitely a thing and I hope you find much comfort in it. smiley

Hi, Gayle. I love words, too, and naming colors. The ones you came up with for Tricia's Southwest palette are AWESOME! You are good at this and it was so nice of you to share them. If I hadn't seen the palette already, I could read your lovely, descriptive names and get a good idea of what that color looks like in my mind and that is just perfect. Please feel free to join in with your graphic design experience and make some scrapbook goodies with us if that appeals to you. The more the merrier, I say!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for sharing your talent with us. Very fun! Hope to see you again real soon.

smiley smiley smiley those are wonderful. Thank you Gayle!
I did reverse the two greens:

Love this idea! I use procreate and affinity on my iPad for all things scrapbooking and planning, which could be good alternatives to the adobe suite for anyone using iOS.

Oooo! This sounds like so much fun, and it will get me learning more about Affinity Photo! Thanks for doing and sharing this, Annette!

Liesl, I am so sorry about what’s going on. You and your husband will be in my prayers.

Annette - I actually was considering “Sweater Weather” as a kit name! Which will probably fit better than “First Frost”, since that makes me think of a pale, neutral kit that I don’t think I’m capable of designing. smiley

May I play along with everyone? If no one minds, I'd like to use the palette by Annette.

Lisel, I'm praying for your husband as well as you and your son. Bless you all.

Kimberly, please join us. All who interested are welcome!!! I look forward to seeing your designs. You had a great blog train contribution(s) smiley

Thanks so much for your kind words, Annette. It was great fun. smiley

My pleasure. So happy that you enjoyed them. smiley
I understand exactly why you reversed the greens.

ABSOLUTELY, Kimberly! So happy you are here and want to join in, and you are more than welcome to use the palette I shared. I put an ACO of it in a zip, so snag away. As Tricia said, you have shared some wonderful BT kits so I will be very excited to see what you come up with for the daily prompts for this group effort. It's gonna be fun to be working with the same colors! And YOU! WOO HOO!

I think "Sweater Weather" is an adorable kit name! Just so cozy and cute sounding. Can't wait to see what you come up with for it, Becky. I know it will be fabulous. smiley

Hi, Candee! Oh, you are so very welcome. I hope you find some inspiration in the daily prompts and maybe feel like sharing your results with us. We love to applaud efforts here, so please share away and ask any questions you might have. I don't know anything about Affinity Photo, but I have amazing Googling skills and I am not afraid to use them. smiley Thanks for stopping by and for the enthusiasm.

Leah, can I twist your arm (gently, of course) to join us? smiley Any graphics software is fine for doing the daily prompts and since I have recently purchased an iPad, I am especially interested in seeing what Procreate can do. It looks like a ton of fun, but I just haven't had time to even download it yet. That fact hasn't stopped me from hoarding brushes and swatches for it when I see them offered though! Hopefully, soon I can dive in and take some beginners' classes and start playing around with it. I hope you can find some time to create and join us for this kit-making venture!

Thank you so much for letting me play and for the nice compliment!

Annette, I have decided to make time to participate, and have stolen your palette and theme, so be prepared for a bundle at the end of this! I won't be sharing it in the commons, as I want to keep it CU. Therefore I will be sharing what I make on my blog. I'll post a link to my blog at the end, if that will be allowed. Everything on my blog is always free forever, and most of it is CU. Hope that will be ok with you and Marisa.

Bina, that neon tree is so cute!!!

Everyone here, thank you for your kind, thoughtful, compassionate and loving comments.
I truly do treasure you all.
Only time will tell how things go here in my little world, but so far, my husband is doing well.
His post-op went well, and we'll find out more on Monday hopefully about the next steps of treatment.
One day at a time.
Again, thank you all for being here. smiley smiley smiley

And I think "Sweater Weather" is a great title!

Um, the link to Page 3 is broken. smiley I thought I had it downloaded, but didn't find it in my folder, so came back to get it, and it doesn't find that page. smiley

Thanks! I'm better with PS (took it in college), but I don't want to pay for a subscription, so switched to AP. It's quite similar, but there are things it doesn't do that PS does. I'm hoping to be able to at least get "something" done! LOL

Thanks for doing this!!!

This sounds so fun! I know better than to commit to an extra opportunity at this time. I hope to see this maybe in January. Always seems like once the holidays are over, I am looking for something fun to do as I wait for the warm weather to return. I'm going to keep my eyes on this thread though to see what you all create.

Here is my palette, Winter Romance.Winter Romance Palette by Candee Schamber, on Flickr

I can't get page three to come up either. @Annette Marie can you hook us up? Thank you.

Hi, Tiffany. I think I have fixed it. If not, please let me know and I am sorry that happened.

Candee, I think I have fixed peek-a-boo Page 3. If not, please let me know. So sorry that happened.
