Marble is not my favorite, but I do really like how the word art turned out!
Especially the NOEL (ok, so it wasn't marbled paper that I used, but hey, I learned a couple new skills today! Woohoo!)

I used Jessica Dunn's 157257 marble template, 295602 marble paper,
and Janet Kemp's 33439 marbled paper.
"Christmas" font is Algerian, in bold.
I can't remember what the NOEL font is, I looked through ALL my fonts (that took awhile!) and can't find it.
Here is my attempt at marble papers. The stripe marble is from using Annette's technique. The others from a tutorial on marble papers.

Ladies, I'm still running far behind the rest of you with making things, but I checked Annette's suggestion of Brusheezy for some marble textures, and I liked this one. As it had the designer's website on the preview, I also checked that out, and found an interesting tutorial for making seamless textures. I thought some of you might also find it interesting.
I have just uploaded a new zip file to Google Drive, named "Dancing Tiger Designs Resources".
In this file, you will find two folders, plus two other files.
The first folder "Grids For New Paper Templates" has four PSD files to help you to make 12-inch patterned papers and templates. They already have guides to help you place design elements at quarter-inch, half-inch, one inch and two inch intervals.
The second folder "Guides For Paper Previews" has 17 PSD files, with guides already included to help you place your papers for paper previews. (The numbers after the "x" refer to how many papers you can insert into it.)
(I have pre-made a variety of different files to help me with my designing, including sample previews for any blog trains or other kits and bundles I do, sample file names, credits files, TOU files, etc.)
The zip file also has a file with the drop shadow settings I use for my paper previews, plus a 600x600 pixel file that I File-Place my full size previews on and resave for uploading to Imgur.

Since I'm behind anyway, I decided to skip to this tutorial next so I can potentially use some of these papers on tags later.
This was using Annette's liquify tutorial from the narrow striped paper on day 3. FUN. I think it looks more like agate than marble, but we'll roll with it.
For the next 3, I used a brush set from Brusheezy and various combinations of clipping previous papers and plastic styles in PSE.

I actually have Eye Candy 7, which does realistic marble, but it isn't a cheap filter. It's up to $89.00 now (just checked), which is $10 more than I paid last year. Never thought to use it as a paper, though. Example:
I'll whip up 5-6 CU overlays with it tomorrow and post them in the freebie section.

I love your glittery, shimmery marbles! How I wish the designers who created the faux marble texture that came with our house had made one as pretty as yours are. I wouldn't be dreaming of a bathroom re-do . . . that is for sure! You just can't go wrong with glitter in my book, and adding it to marble is so much fun! This whole collection of papers is making me want to rent hubby a tux and put on something glittery myself for some pictures so I can make proper use of all of them! Excellent work, my friend!
Thanks so much for the kind words about the marble samples, Christina. I appreciate it very much. And now I want Eye Candy. I had it ages ago, but lost it. Maybe if I am very good between now and Christmas, Santa would put a copy of it in my stocking. Why does all this cool stuff have to be so dang expensive?

Agate? Marble? Whatever you call it, I call it "BEAUTIFUL." Those colors work so well together and the swirly mix you got is delightful to look at! I am just so happy you tried the liquify filter out and had some fun with it, Becky. I could have spent all day playing around with it once I got started. Probably would have if I hadn't needed to post the Scraptorial.
The other papers that you used brushes and clipping masks on are wonderful in a whole different way. Aren't those brush sets fun? I snagged a bunch more when I grabbed the link for my post and now that I have seen your papers, I am dying to try them out. I think you used one I just snagged for that last paper and I love that pattern. It's dreamy! Excellent job on the marble prompt, Becky and I totally understand skipping around as it suits you. Whatever works for you, works for me! Looking forward to maybe seeing some pretty marbled tags from you soon! They will be super cool, I think! (Hurry up! LOL Wanna see!)
Chitra, when you share gorgeous stuff like this, I don't think anyone cares where you post it! So happy you tried the liquify technique out. You got a really fun "stripe-y" paper out of it. COOL!
You know how I feel about glitter, right? Adding it is always a good idea and nothing could illustrate that principle better than these bold, glittery, FABULOUS marbled papers of yours. I really like that you used two tones of the same color. Very elegant without being "too much." (Is it ever too much? Not as far as I am concerned. PILE ON THE GLITTER, I say! Make it look like a atomic glitter bomb went off! But I know some would wrinkle their silly little noses at that idea. LOL) Is it time to download these yet? I am dying to get my hands on your goodies! (Wait! THAT didn't sound right!

I had a bunch of fun playing with the liquify filter when I was making it, and only was able to stop because I needed to post the prompt. I can get lost in "mindless" things like that for hours. The brushes are fun to play around with, too, but not nearly as time-consuming. Looking forward to maybe seeing some marble papers from you one of these days, my dear!
Gail, I am so happy you tried the liquify filter technique out. Your swirly marble paper in your kit's colors turned out really cool. I love your more realistic marble papers you did from the tutorial you found, too. The colors for your kit really worked out well for those and they DO look like actual marble. Really neat effect. Is the tutorial one you can link us to on-line or something you have in your stash? Would love to give it a look, if it is something you could share with us. If not, that is fine--no worries, but I do love learning new stuff and I do not know how to make realistic marble like you did. Lovely collection of marble papers, Gail. I think the people who get their hands on your kit, will be very happy to have them. They will work for lots of different scrapbook pages and that is always a nice bonus.
