Do any of you know how to create this type of photoshop actions please?

these are so creative that I would like to learn how to create them!! I have the basic idea to create photoshop actions but how can I make it interactive like choosing my favorite color or pattern each time when I play the action??
I use Photoshop(CS6)..Any tutorial anywhere please??

Hello, bump!!!!

Elif is our resident Action maker. I'd love to have an action that makes banners. Although I can't begin to think what might be involved in such a process smiley

Thanks for the reply Marisa!! Today I searched the Web a lot, tried and failed and finally have made an action which turns a paper of your choice into a layered flower elememt. Each layer also has the option to choose your favorite color or pattern or layer styles by pausing the action!! Quite happy with it so thinking to try to make a banner action like this!!
but before I need someone who will test the action for me as now only I know it works properly!! Need to be sure it works for others as well before publish. I found various scrapbooking actions like above but all are too much costly!! I didn't find anything free so trying to make my own!!

Here's what I have made!! It's my 1st photoshop self made action.. I am trying to make better than it!! smiley

Hi Krissy! A couple of days ago I started making actions too. I am going to use my for commercial use purposes. I use CS4 to test and CS CC. If you'd like me to test in CS4 and CC, feel free to let me know. smiley You action looks wonderful. Congratulations on making your first one!

Oh thank you very much Sharon!! Mine is made in CS6 but as the action is made with a custom shape that comes with photoshop and also I have included it in the zip. file I think it will work in CS4 too!! And because CC is a post CS6 version it should work in CC too!! It's a very simple action I just have made to see if I can make actions!!
Give it a try please and let me know if it's working--

NOTE THAT-- I have included 2 videos in the zip. if needed to see. Also please read the jpg. note included!! THANK YOU SHARON for your help!!

Hi Krissy! I am sooo sorry! I just read your post right now. I'll check out your action tomorrow and give you my findings. smiley

Hi Krissy, I just looked at it a little, and had some problems. I hope you don't mind by me critiquing it. Sorry. First and foremost, YOU DID A FABULOUS job in creating the action for your first attempt! Now here is the scoop:

1. I like to Record the action to first go to create a document by pressing the record button to start the action and then go File/New then set your document size. That should be STEP 1 so the person doesn't have to do it for themselves.
2. Instead of opening up a pattern, this step can be simplified. Go to your Action drop down menu and go to INSERT MENU ITEM and then go to File/PLACE and then grab the pattern. This way you don't have to have two documents open...just one.

When creating actions, it is best when doing a command to alway go to the actions drop down menu and do a INSERT MENU ITEM. This way the action will run a lot smoother and will eliminate bugs.

That is all I noticed so far. Try that, and get back to me. smiley

Thank you for letting me beta test! You did a JOB WELL DONE for your first attempt!

Oh thank you very much Sharon!!! All what I wanted is a critique!! Thank you for the 1st try..
I just wanted to know how to make interactive actions like in my 1st post above and when didn't find anything I tried by myself!! The tutorial I used told to insert a 'Stop' everywhere and that's all I did.. I saw the option 'insert menu item' but was afraid to use it..
Also another thing, if I create new document after pressing action button will others be able to set their own filesize?? Suppose I work with 500 px document, what if others want to run the action on a 700px document?? Actually that's why I insert 'Stop' everywhere so that others can have the choice of their own..
Btw, can you please tell me what's the problem you had while using it?? It will help me to take care while trying again..

Hi Sweetie Krissy! I think the only problems that I had was when I used the second part of the action of getting my pattern. I don't have floating windows when I use photoshop. I use tabs, I like it better that way. So to remedy this that is why I suggested to do a Insert Menu Item/ and then File/Place when getting the pattern. This way you don't have two documents open, only one. Then you can clip mask automatically after that, insert a stop, and have them move the pattern around if you wish. Secondly, this is totally up to you, bu,t I would go to Insert Menu Item / File/ New and THEN have them create their page size. Or, this is how I would do it: Insert Menu Item / File / New / set a 3600 px by 3600 px standard digital scrapbooking page. If you do that, it would be good because you can put another command in after your action has run by selecting ALL layers and then do a Trim.

I hope I wasn't too wordy. LOL

Krissy, I am contacting you through Pixelscrapper. Please be on the lookout for my email. smiley

You are not at all being wordy, Sharon!! I know how to be much more wordy, lol!! smiley
Anyway, thank you for the detailed instructions. I am little sick, but gonna try it ASAP!! Thank you so much again!!

I have replied you at your email ID btw.. smiley

As your first action is by wendy it might be that she actually wrote a script instead of an action (and convert it to an action afterwards). With scripts you have much more options to work with photoshop. you need verry little programming skills to be able to write a script, but without any knowledge about javascript it can be hard smiley

Is it?? Oh dear!! I have no idea about scripts at all!! Thank you for mentioning anyway, dear friend!!
