Designing For Hybird Kits

I'm understanding that the difference between the digital and hybird kits is mostly that hybird kits will be printed, whereas the digital is used for "digital", correct? So when designing for hybird the top priority should be towards others printing each and every design you create. Taking into consideration what would or would not be print/ink friendly, (which I have a working knowledge of these things). But I'm sure there's much more to hybird designing so maybe others can give me tips/insight on this? I'd like to create graphics for hybird too, not just digital.

Prior to getting into scrap graphics I created Primitive style graphics for many years. We did create lots of those graphics for printing such as labels, tags, and such. But our palette was mostly earth tones and/or vintage colors, nothing flashy, just simple basics. So I'm hoping my background will be of help to me learning hybird designing. Any and all input I can get on this will be greatly appreciated and I'll thank you in advance. smiley Is there maybe a guideline chart of some type, or thread on this subject that I've over looked somewhere? The threads I've found on the subject aren't dealing with my particular inquires.

i am not a designer, but i am a photographer, and one of the biggest things i have to deal with is color reproduction...if people are printing at home then its typically a cmyk color palette, and most professional printing companies give an option of cymk, pantone and rbg...rbg tends to be the best for digital use, but doesnt always print true in the real world.

not sure if that helps

I usually reduce the opacity when I print. Sometimes as much as 70% . That just goes to say that each crafter will have their own ideas, printers, papers to go about this, I guess as long as your colors are in gammut you are good to go smiley. There are so many print kits here that could maybe add more ideas.

For me the "print kits" mean I've removed any texture that I put in for the digital part and that I've created PDFs which are easier to print for some. Personally when printing at home I prefer to print without texture which I finds just makes things a bit more muddy. But there are people who like printing out things with texture.
