Do you use dated items?

A confusing subject line for this topic, but what I'm really wondering about is how often do you included date items in your projects, like days of the week or the month.

I've considered including things with the month in my Good Life bundles, but I don't because they release in the middle of the month, so it feels only kind of useful. I'm guessing this is basically an issue for the planner items I'm considering including, because it seems likely that you've already set your planner up at the beginning of the month. For scrapbooking it seems like most people are somewhat behind actual time, so this is probably less of an issue.

What I want to know is do you even use things that have the month on it, and would it matter to you to get that month in the middle of the month?

Also would it be confusing to release a bundle in June and call it July? That way I could be ahead of things.

For my 100 days project, I am doing one page per year of my life, so most of my pages do (or will) have a year on them....

For the few pages I did make before this project started, no I did not have any dates. I don't know what my policy will be after this project ends.

I dont mind a bundle being released in the month ahead of time - that's pretty common so it wont bother me.... It also allows us to use that bundle during the entire month and not just half of the month.

For those who like the dates, why not just include an alpha set? Then they can choose to add the date or exclude it. It would then work for both types (those who add dates and those who don't).

As a decorative planner, I don't use year-dated items, but I do use the months of the year as a header for a calendar and numbers to date undated planner pages.

I'd love to have the Good Life bundles released earlier, so you could use them more often during the month.

I really like having the names of months available but I will admit that even I only use them maybe three or four times a year.

I am not a decorative planner. But I am a "planner" by nature. It really irks me that digital planning kits are released monthly. If I was going to use that, I am setting up my planner for the year in October-December of the previous year. I just so don't get that. I have things in my planner 6 months out. How can it be set up monthly? It confuses me, obviously.

I'm definitely do it early for the previous month camp if including. I also used months or days of week in scrapbooking layouts occasionally. I usually just add them with a font to a tag for digital, or I've cut out on my silhouette or used stamps for traditional.

@Lisa: I think planner people have different ways they set up their planners. I'll have to see if I can get more feedback to see what people are up to.

I like dated elements if they are unique looking and can be re-used at other times of the year in combination with other sets.

I have seen some number sets that go from 1 to 31 which are clearly meant for the days of the month.

I don't use number sets for the dates of the month.

I only need 10 digits - 0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 - so I can make up any number or years that I want.

As a planner I set up my calendar and monthly things ahead of time, usually at least one week before the start of the month. For weekly plans I do them only a few days in advance, but I also don't use monthly themes on them. I don't subscribe to 'monthly' planner kits because of this - it irks me sometimes how people release month-specific stuff on the start of the month??? As far as I know, most (non-decorative) planners have their monthly and weekly stuff completed well ahead of time. I do realize that there doesn't seem to be a large proportion of planner on this site (??? could be wrong, would love to know) but if you wanted to, you could look up some 'plan with me' videos on YT to get a better idea how advanced (or not) most planners are.

I do use things that have the month on it quite a bit, but I usually could always fall back on last year's stuff. Same with seasonal items, if it doesn't come out early enough then, well, there's always stuff in my stash from last time, y'know?

And personally, it totally wouldn't be confusing to release ahead of time.

Honestly I don't always use the newest kits I find, sometimes I use older kits like from last year. So themed kits for holidays from previous years mean you can prepare your scrapbook pages at any time beforehand. Having alpha sets are great when you need them, but premade months and weekdays are very convenient. I don't see many kits with days of the week graphics included though, that would be awesome.

These lil touches can work magic in terms of harmony in album style projects.

I would use them for things like significant events such as weddings, births, etc.
